PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

Mixers of the STEP series are fit to operate with hot water
accumulators under pressure, electrical and gas instant water
heaters.
WARNING: it is not possible to connect them to hot water
accumulators without pressure (with open circuit).

TECHNICAL DATA

- Minimum dynamic pressure . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0,5 bar
- Maximum operational pressure (static) . . . . . . . . 10 bar
- Recommended operational pressure (static) . . . . 1-5 bar
(N.B.: for pressures higher than 5 bar we suggest the
installation of a pressure reducer)
- Maximum test pressure (static) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 16 bar
- Maximum hot water temperature . . . . . . . . . . . . 80°C
- Suggested hot water temperature . . . . . . . . . . . 60°C
(for energy saving)
BUILT IN PARTS INSTALLATION (ref. Fig.1-Fig.2)
- Prepare an appropriate hole in the wall and insert inside
the mixer with the protection MOUNTED. Installation rates
are indicated in Fig.1 (allowed built-in depth means at
finished wall level surface including coating).
- Screw silent couplings [1] and connect the mixer to supply
tubes (see Fig.2). Do not make any welds between mixer
and tubes.
- Turn on water delivery and check the tightness of couplings
(maximum test pressure 16 bar static).
- Finish the plaster and apply coating.
EXTERNAL PARTS INSTALLATION (ref. Fig.3)
After completing the coating remove protections.
- In case of mixers with automatic diversion (item ST00021)
unscrew the plug [1] and screw the diverter [2] using a 22
mm wrench.
- Fit the plate [3].
- Insert the cut rings [4] in proper grooves.
- Insert the sleeve [5] so that the blue ideogram is positioned
to the RIGHT having the single control in front of you.
- Fit the gasket [6] to the hole.
- Screw the lever stick [7] on stick coupling [8] with the help
of a 3 mm Allen wrench (supplied).
- Screw the terminal by hand [9].
ITEM ST00110 – ST00113 (ref. Fig.4)
- Screw the mouth coupling pivot [1] to body with 9 mm
hexagonal wrench.
- Insert the supply mouth [2] and screw it on the pivot
screwing the pin [3] with 3 mm hexagonal wrench
(supplied).
- Once you choose where to position the shower support
countermark the position of the holes and pierce with drill
Ø6.
- Insert the plastic pegs.
- Position the internal body of support [4] and point the
screws [5].
- Insert the external body of support [6] and with the help of
hand shower, position it correctly.
- Remove external body of support [6] and screw [5].
- Fasten the external body of support [6] screwing the pin [7]
with the 3 mm Allen wrench.
- Screw by hand the hand shower to the hose and the hose
to the coupling of the supply mouth.
ITEM ST00251 (ref. Fig.5)
- Screw the spout coupling pivot [1] to the body with 9 mm
Allen wrench.
- Insert the spout [2] and fasten it to the pivot screwing the
pin [3] with 3 mm Allen wrench (supplied).
SUBSTITUTION OF MIXING VALVE (ref. Fig.6)
- Turn off the hot water and cold water inlets.
- Unscrew the terminal by hand [1].
- Unscrew the lever stick [2] with the help of a 3 mm Allen
wrench (supplied).
- Remove the gasket [3] and remove the sleeve [4].
- Remove the plate [5] and unscrew the screws [6] with the 4
mm Allen wrench.
- Remove the external part of the mixer [7].
- Unscrew the cap [8] with a 32 mm wrench and remove the
mixing valve [9].
- Insert the new mixing valve in the body of the single control
paying attention not to leave dirt between the top and the
gaskets.
- Screw the cap [8] with DYNAMOMETRIC WRENCH
exerting a 10 Nm tightening torque.
- Continue in the opposite direction to reassemble the single-
control.
CLEANING THE SHOWER HEAD
If it is necessary to de-scale the shower head:
- Unscrew the showerhead counter clockwise and remove it
from the shower.
- Soak it for around 1 hour in the MASTER LIBBY (MASTER
LIBBY is the CISAL sanitizer to clean taps and you can order
it with code ZA 00800 0 00 to your installer).
- Rinse it under running water jet and reassemble it.
