• Avoid extreme conditions and tempera-
tures that may affect batteries, such as
placing batteries on radiators. Other-
wise, there is an increased risk of leak-
age.
• Take used batteries out of the product
immediately. Otherwise, there is an
increased risk of leakage.
• Check the batteries regularly for leaks.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can
cause chemical burns if they come in
contact with the skin, therefore in this
case always wear suitable protective
gloves!
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and
mucous membranes if fluid has leaked
from the battery. In case of contact with
battery acid, immediately rinse affected
areas with plenty of clear water and
seek medical attention immediately.
• If lightly soiled, clean battery and prod-
uct contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth
before loading.
• Remove the battery if the product is not
in use for extended periods of time.
• Pay attention to the correct polarity
when loading! This is indicated in the
battery compartment. Otherwise, the
battery may explode.
• Insert the battery carefully. Otherwise,
the product may become damaged.
• Do not throw used batteries into house-
hold waste, but dispose of them at the
designated points for waste collection.

Opening the security box for
the first time
To open the security box for the first time,
– push the small plastic cover (5) (see
► p. 4, fig. 1) on the front panel
upwards or downwards,
– insert the key into the keyhole,
– turn the key clockwise and turn the
doorknob (1) (see ► p. 4, fig. 1) clock-
wise to open the door.
Installing the batteries
Required batteries: ► Technical data –

The batteries compartment (8) (see ► p. 4,
fig. 2) is located on the back of the door.
Remove the battery cover and install the
batteries. Ensure the batteries are fitted
with the correct corresponding polarity.
Remark: The use of alkaline batteries is
recommended.
Programming the code
– With the security box door open, press
the red button (6) (see ► p. 4, fig. 2) on
the back of the door, release it and 2
beeps will sound.
– Then press a combination of 3 to 8
numbers that you wish to use as your
personal code, and confirm by pressing
the button [*] or [#] within 15 seconds
or else, you will have to start the whole
procedure again from the beginning
(► p. 4, fig. 1).
– Remember or note down your personal
code immediately. Check whether your
new combination has been pro-
grammed, while the security box door is
still open.
