DANGER
à
Establish normal atmospheric pressure in the lines while
the pump is at a standstill (relieve pump pneumatically).
Connecting the pump
The following item numbers refer to Fig. 3 (SH820G,
SH840G) and to Fig. 4 (SR820G, SR840G).
1. Remove the protective caps from the pneumatic connec-
tions of the vacuum system (see 1 and 8 or 1 and 7).
2. Connect the lines to the pneumatic inlet and outlet.
Only connect components to the vacuum system that are
designed for the pneumatic data of the vacuum system
(see Chapter 5 Technical data [} 24]).
3. Place the collection flask (4 or 5) on the separator adapter
(9) or on the high-performance condenser (2, only for
SH820G and SH840G) and fasten the collection flask with
the flask clamp (3).
Make sure that the flask clamp is firmly held in place by
tightening the flask clamp screw as far as it will go.
Risk of dangerous gas mixtures during
pump operation
Depending on the medium being trans-
ferred, breakage of the media-contact-
ing components can result in a danger-
ous mixture if the medium mixes with
the air in the compressor housing or
the surroundings.
à
Before using a medium, check the
compatibility of the media-con-
tacting components (see 5 Tech-
nical data [} 24]) with the
medium.
