2.2. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The scoop stretcher, thanks to its particular features, has an important function of aid: in fact it permits an easy placement of the litter
under the patient without removing him and an easy immobilization during all transport.
It is provided with devices, ergonomical and adjustable, which permit the hand-transport of patients always keeping a correct position,
even in the most difficult conditions, as for example during the transport along staircases, tortuous and narrow ways or disconnected
grounds. The correct position also consents to reduce operators' effort and so it brings to a situation of great security during the
transport of the patient.
The structure made of anodized aluminium and the construction extremely strong guarantee an high grade of reliability.

The scoop stretcher is essentially compound of:
a main structure;
an head zone profile;
a bust zone profile;
a feet zone profile.
Principal devices with relatives features are:
Locking of feet zone profile's extraction.
This device permits to adjust and lock the total lenght of the stretcher, in four positions, according to patient's height. The device is
also utilized to get the stretcher folded, in stocking position.
Head side hook and feet side hook.
These devices permit the operators to open the stretcher in the required configuration (in two parts or in "" position) to place it under
the patient without removing it, avoiding so to him traumas which can come from his displacement.
Safety belts
These devices are utilized to limit voluntary or involuntary movements of the patient during the transport. The equipment includes
three safety belts with quick-release, for a proper and safe immobilization of the patient.
