USE AND MAINTENANCE
- Periodically check the axles of the furrow opener discs and of the land wheels of the rear
trolley. If necessary, eliminate play on the coupling as follows:
1)
Remove the hubcap. Pay attention to the right-hand and left-hand threads: the front coulter
row (A, Fig. 69) uses left-hand threads unlike the rear row (B, Fig. 69) that has right-hand
threads.
2)
Remove the split pin (1, Fig. 69).
3)
Tighten the nut (2, Fig. 69) until play is eliminated, but without locking the rotation of the
axle.
4)
Put some grease in the plug of the hub until the level (3) shown in Figure 69 is reached.
5)
Put back the split pin and the cap.
- Check the pressure of the seed drill tyres: tyres 400/60-15.5 18 PR A8 TR882 (max. 5,8 bar).
- To replace all the tubes of the hydraulic systems.
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is for seen it is advisable:
1) Carefully empty all the seed from the hopper and distribution assÕy (see cap 3.14).
2) Clean the equipment, the tank and the metering unit especially, with a large amount of water.
Then, dry it using jets of air.
3) Carefully check worn or damaged parts and replace if necessary.
4) Make sure that the metering unit can rotate without excessive efforts. Check the bearings, if
necessary
5) Tighten all screws and bolts.
6) Grease the dnve chains (Fig. 60), oil all the drive chains, spread lubricant on all the parts not
painted (Fig. 67).
7) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
8) Then put it in a dry place, do not move it and where it is out of reach of un authorized people.
