Operating mode

The BOSS-Tech system is activated when the
antenna is connected to the power supply and
automatically regulates the gain depending on
the signal received to provide optimum output
levels at all times. This is the operating mode
recommended for general use (active mode).
The antenna may also be used in passive mode
when the signal received in the area is good
enough. In this scenario the power supply is
not needed and the antenna may be connected
directly to the TV set.
Troubleshooting
Issue Possible Cause
Non functioning Has mains voltage been applied?
No picture or sound Is the TV tuned to an actual existing channel?
Poor picture quality Is there a good line of sight to the transmitter?
The BOSS-Tech system can also be powered
using any battery or DC source (12 to 24V) and
a power injector.
Tune the TV to the VHF/UHF channels received
in the area and check the image on the screen
to choose the most convenient operation mode
(active/pasive).
Solutions
Check electrical installation.
Tune the TV set to an existing local TV channel.
Check installation cable and connectors for short circuit conditions.
Check DC voltage at the PSU's antenna connector.
Remove obstacles and/or reassess antenna location.
