CAUTION
Read the following instructions carefully before
using the CASTOLIN 2000 FLEX and keep them for
future reference. The instructions supply all the in-
formation necessary for correct use of the appliance
to avoid danger and damage. MESSER EUTECTIC CA-
STOLIN is not responsible for any damage occuring
due to incorrect use of the appliance, or to modifica-
tions made to it.

The CASTOLIN 2000 FLEX kit can also work with the CA-
STOLIN 1450 gas cartridge. However, the 1450 gas car-
tridge will last 6,30 hours depending on use.
1. GAS SUPPLY
The CASTOLIN 2000 FLEX is fed with an oxygen cylinder
(homologation T-PED π 0036) and with a gas cartridge
1350 (complying with EN417: 2012). We recommend us-
ing the CASTOLIN cylinders and cartridges.
ATTENTION : the cylinders and the gas cartridges of
CASTOLIN 2000 FLEX are not rechargeable.

The use of other cylinders or cartridges may be
dangerous

Do not connect cylinders or cartridges before you
have read the instruction on them.
2.1 INSERTING CYLINDERS OU CARTRIDGES
-
Lift the flap 45° (fig.1)
-
Make sure that the orange adjusting knob on the
gas valve (7) and on the torch (10 and 11) are closed
(clockwise = open, anticlockwise = close). The blue
adjusting knob of the pressure reducer Micro has to
be unscrewed (clockwise).

Screw the oxygen pressure reducer and the gas valve
on the relevant cylinder and cartridge, paying atten-
tion that there are no leaks (see 5.2).

The threads are diversified to avoid mistakes in cou-
pling cylinder to pressure reducer Micro and car-
tridge to gas valve.

Fix on the trolley for bottles (1) the blocking bottles
support (2) screwing lightly the wing nut (3) on the
front.
-
Insert the cylinder and the cartridge into the support
(2).
-
Block the cylinder and the cartridge screwing the
wing nut on the front of the trolley.
2.2 CHANGING CYLINDERS OR CARTRIDGES
-
Make sure that the orange adjusting knob on the
gas valve (7) and on the torch (10 and 11) are closed
(clockwise = open, anticlockwise = close). The blue
adjusting knob of the pressure reducer Micro has to
be unscrewed (clockwise).

Unscrew lightly the blocking bottles support (2).
-
Remove the cylinder and/or the cartridge from the
support (2).
-
Unscrew the oxygen pressure reducer and/or the gas
tap from the cylinder and/or the cartridge.
-
Screw the oxygen pressure reducer and/or the gas
tap on the new cylinder and/or cartridge.

Re-insert the new cylinder and/or cartridge and

Changing or inserting cylinders or cartridges
must be performed in a well ventilated area,

from inflammable materials or substances, from
glowing sources of heat (such as naked flames, lit
cigarettes, electrical rings, etc.) and far away from
persons and animals.

Make sure the cylinder or the cartridge is empty
before changing it. Do not let you be deceived by
the weight of the oxygen cylinder, because it is
quite the same also when the cylinder is empty.
-
Do not use the CASTOLIN 2000 FLEX if the gaskets
(8) are damaged or missing.
-
Control that the oxygen and gas hoses with con-
nections (14a and 14b) are not damaged.
-
To protect the environment, dispose of the cylin-
der and of the cartridge in a safe place and pref-
erably in a recycling bin. In case of problems to
dispose of these empty cylinders and cartridges,
please return to your distributor Messer Eutectic
Castolin or directly to Messer Eutectic Castolin
specifying visibly on the packaging that the car-
tridge and/or the cylinder are empty and to de-
stroy.
