Connecting to a computer

Connecting the device
This device is compatible with Microsoft Windows 8 or later and devices equipped with
MacOS 10.x or later. First, insert a microSD card into the microSD slot. To connect the play-
er to a computer, remove the protective cap and then plug the USB 2.0 connector into
an active, free USB port on the computer. The player is now recognised as a removable
storage device and ready for data transfer with the computer. You can now easily transfer
the desired files from your computer to the memory card in the player by "drag and drop"
or "copy and paste."
Disconnecting the device
Before unplugging the device, make sure to disconnect the data connection between the
devices! Do not remove the player from the computer if files are still being transferred bet-
ween the devices. This can lead to data loss and damage to the data medium.

Battery and battery symbol

The player is powered by a replaceable AAA battery (LR03). Before using the device for the
first time, please insert the battery. To do this, slide the battery cover towards the USB-A
connection to open the battery compartment. Then insert the battery, observing the cor-
rect polarity, and close the cover again. The player is now ready for use. If you are not going
to use the device for a longer period of time, please remove the battery.
When you exit the main menu, the battery symbol is displayed in the submenus and during
music playback to show the current battery status. It consists of a total of four bars, each
bar representing 25% capacity. In addition to the battery quality, the battery life depends
on the individual usage behaviour (volume, frequency and duration of display illumination,
playback behaviour, etc.).

Operation

Note: Please ensure that a microSD card is inserted in the player.
Use of headphones
This player plays music via the 3.5 mm jack connection. Before connecting the headphones,
make sure the player is set to a low volume level and then slowly adjust the volume to your
desired level. Also note the warning about the strain on your hearing when playing music
at high volume for a long time!
Switching the device on and off
Press and hold the Play/Pause button for about 3 seconds to turn on the player. To turn off
the power, press and hold the Play/Pause button again for about 3 seconds. This player has
a power saving function (Eco mode) which, in the default setting, automatically turns the
device off if it has not been used for more than three minutes.
