FITTING THE BATTERIES

Remove the insulating strip located on
the back of the monitor for batteries
make contact and make sure the
monitor is turned on.
This
monitor
uses
ALKALINE BATTERIES. To fit the
batteries Fig.1, carefully insert the two
"R-6" type batteries into the battery
compartment (A), Fig.2, making sure
that the battery's polarity is correct
(matching the battery's "+" terminal
with the "+" sign inside the battery
compartment, and the "-" terminal with
the "-" sign). Replace the battery
compartment cover.
If, after having switched the monitor
on, it displays errors or merely partial
segments then remove the batteries
and wait for about 15 seconds before
reinstalling them.
Weak batteries (run down) produce a
weak digital display (poor contrast)
and erroneous readings. Change them
immediately.
Important. Used batteries must be
discarded in special containers. Fig.3.
ELECTRONIC MONITOR
The screen will switch itself on
automatically as soon as you start
exercising or by pressing any key on
the monitor. The monitor switches on
as soon as you start to exercise on the
machine.
The monitor will switch itself off
automatically if the unit stands idle for
more than 4 minutes,

MODE
Key for selecting on-screen monitor
functions.
Pressing the MODE key for 4 seconds
will reset all of the monitor values,
except for the total number of strokes.
STROKES.
Counts the number of strokes since
the monitor was set back to zero using
the MODE key.
STROKES / MIN .
This indicates the number of strokes
being produced per minute.
CALORIES
A tally of the number of calories being
burnt during the exercise.
STROKES TOTAL
A tally of the total number of strokes
made during the various exercise
sessions. This can only be set back to
zero by taking the batteries out of the
monitor.
TIME
Measures the time that has elapsed
during the exercises.
PULSE
Displays the heart rate B.P.M (beats
per minute) during the exercise.
Heart rate measurement on this model
is OPTIONAL using the telemetric
chest band.
NOTE: This is not a medical appliance
and therefore the heart rate shown is
merely for guideline purposes.
