• The aluminum guard is anatomically contoured and can be
reshaped if necessary.
Fitting RhizoLoc
1. Open the wrist fastening (Fig. 1) and slip the affected thumb
into the support (Fig. 2).
2. Insert the wrist strap through the adjustment ring, tighten
gently and secure the Velcro® fastening. The strap must
surround the wrist.
3. Retighten the top thumb fastener as fi rmly as can be tolerated,
per the degree of swelling (Fig. 3). Then readjust the wrist
strap. The tighter these two fastenings are, the more effi cient
the immobilization of the saddle and fi rst metacarpophalangeal
joint of the thumb.
Important Information
• The control fl ap for positioning the fi rst metacarpophalangeal
joint must be fastened under tension at the start of treatment,
i. e. the transverse slot in the support must be closed. The
decision to unrestrict movement may only be made by the
attendant physician.
• RhizoLoc is a prescribed product that should only be applied
under a physician's guidance. RhizoLoc should be applied in
strict accordance with these instructions for use and for the
specifi ed areas of application.
• The product is intended to be fi tted only once and to one
patient.
• No liability is accepted for improper use of the product.
• Changes must not be made to the product. Non-compliance can
reduce the performance of the product, thus no liability will be
accepted.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e. g., increased symp-
toms), please contact your medical provider without delay.

• Combination with other products must be previously discussed
with your medical provider.
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including
grease or acids.
• Guarantee subject to statutory regulations.
• The product can be disposed without any restrictions.

RhizoLoc can be washed separately by hand with a mild detergent
at low temperatures. To avoid damage and to preserve their
long-term adhesive strength, we recommend closing the Velcro®
fastenings prior to washing. Do not dry in direct heat (e. g.
heater, sunlight , etc.).
This product has been examined using our own quality control
system. However, should you have any complaints, please contact
your retailer or our Customer Service department.
