• Now, screw the contact tip (12) on again and ensure
that the contact tip matches with the diameter of the
welding wire used.
• Finally, re-attach the burner nozzle (10).
Before commissioning
Connection to the supply line
Before connecting the mains cable to the supply line,
check whether the data on the type plate matches
the values of the available supply line. Only connect
the machine to a correctly installed protective contact
socket, with fuse protection of at least 16A.
Danger! The mains plug may only be replaced by an
electrician.
Welding preparations
The earth clamp (13) is attached directly to the
weldment or to the base on which the weldment is
placed. Attention, ensure that there is direct contact
with the weldment. You should therefore avoid painted
surfaces and / or insulating materials. The electrode
holder cable has a special clamp at the end which is
used to clamp the electrode. The welding mask must
always be used while welding. It protects the eyes from
the light rays coming from the arc and still allows for a
precise view of the weld metal.

Switching on/off (fig. 1)
Switch the device on by setting the on/off switch (14)
to "I". The control lamp for operation (3) illuminates.
Switch the device off by setting the on/off switch (14) to
"0". The control lamp for operation (3) goes out.
Welding
• Put on appropriate clothing for welding, see "point
Protective clothing".
• Connect the earth cable to the workpiece to be
welded.
• Rust and paint must be removed from the workpiece
at the welding point.
• Switch the device on.
• Select the desired material thickness.
• Hold the welding mask in front of your face and
guide the burner to the point on the workpiece that
you wish to weld and actuate the burner switch to
create the electric arc.

• Once the arc is lit, the device feeds wire into the
weld pool. If the spot is large enough, guide the
burner slowly along the desired edge. The distance
between the burner nozzle and the workpiece
should be kept as short as possible (never larger
than 10 mm). If necessary, swing the burner nozzle
slightly in order to enlarge the weld pool a little.
• For those with little experience, the initial difficulty
lies in creating a stable electric arc.
• The optimum setting of the welding current and wire
feed rate is made automatically by the device.
• The penetration depth should be as deep as
possible but the weld pool should not drop through
the workpiece.
• The slag should only be removed from the seam
once it has cooled. If continuing with an interrupted
weld seam, the slag should first be removed from
the point of attachment. The electric arc is struck
in the weld groove, guided to the connection point,
properly melted there and then continued along the
weld seam.
• Attention! Always used tongs to move hot, welded
workpieces. Ensure that the burner is always set
down on an insulated surface after welding. Always
switch the welding machine off and pull out the
plug after the welding work is complete and during
breaks.
Overheating protection
The welding machine is equipped with overheating
protection which protects the welding transformer from
overheating. If the overheating protection reacts, the
indicator lamp (2) lights up on your device. Allow the
welding machine to cool down for a while.
Replacing the mains connection cable
Danger!
If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, their service department
or a similarly qualified person to avoid dangers.

10. Electrical connection

The customer's mains connection as well as the
extension cable used must also comply with these
regulations.
