14. Release the Power Switch. Grip the cable near the drain opening with your gloved hand (to
prevent it from pushing back into the drain) and push the cable back into the drum.
15. Repeat the above steps to continue the retrieving process until the whole cable is out.
Release the Power Switch before the cable end comes out of the drain. Do not pull
the end of the cable from the drain while the cable is rotating.
Special Operations When Cable Gets Caught in Line
The motor can be set in reverse direction to free the cable if it gets caught in the line by using the
following procedure:
1. Set the Rotation Switch to REV position.
2. Pull the cable while the drum is rotating in REV direction.
3. When the cable is freed, set the Rotation Switch to FOR position.
Do not run machine in Reverse rotation direction for more than a few seconds at
a time since this could cause tangling in the drum or kinking.
Special Operations When Cable Tangles in Drum
To untangle cable, rotate drum in the opposite direction. This will usually get the cable to lie in the
drum properly.
If cable becomes severely tangled, which should not occur when used properly, it may need a skilled
technician to straighten it.
