Alert parameters
Parameter values in this menu can be freely selected by the user.
When measurements are outside limited values, warning message
will be sent to NMEA2000 network and shown on screen of the
VETUS device. List of available alerts:

First time use

When the CANNS500 is first put into operation, it takes 10 to 15 min-
utes after saving the battery configuration for the estimated SoC %
value to be displayed.
For initial calculation the battery bank must be in rest; relaxed state.
Meaning there should not be any charging or discharging for that pe-
riod. When the battery bank state of charge is defined the remaining
time will be calculated based on current draw. When the current draw
is over 5 amps the calculated remaining time will be more accurate.

Monitoring of the battery bank

When a battery bank with sub-blocks is connected: B1, B2, (B3, B4)
and the measured voltages of the batteries differs more than 1 V, call
an installer to check the batteries.
Voltages of battery blocks connected in series forming a big battery
bank should be equal.
The CANNS500 does not disconnect or switch off batteries!
Do not drain the batteries completely . Stop using the system
if the low SoC alarm sounds!
Recharge the batteries in time .

If the system is not used for a longer period of time, discon-
nect the battery bank(s) or make sure the system is charged
regularly or connected to a trickle charger .

New battery bank

If the CANNS500 is to be connected to a new battery bank after first
usage, it is possible to perform a factory reset via the Wi-Fi hotspot
and config.vetus.com.
