4. Authorized use

The machine meets with current EC machine di-
rectives.
• The vibratory plate is only authorized for working
on smaller and medium-sized areas, foundations,
terraces, entrances, in the garden, landscaping,
and similar works.
• Before starting work, all safety devices and guards
must be fitted on the machine.
• The machine has been designed for being oper-
ated by one person. The operator is responsible
opposite third persons within the working area.
• All safety instructions and warnings on the ma-
chine must be observed.
• All safety instructions and warning on the machine
must be maintained complete and clearly legible.
• The machine must only be used in technically per-
fect condition in accordance with its designated
use and the instructions set out in the operating
manual, and only by safety-conscious persons
who are fully aware of the risks involved in operat-
ing the machine. Any functional disorders, espe-
cially those affecting the safety, should therefore
be rectified immediately.
• The safety, working and servicing instructions of
the manufacturer, as well as the dimensions given
in the chapter "Technical data", must be observed.
• Relevant accident prevention regulations and oth-
er, generally recognized safety-technical rules
must be adhered to.
• The machine may only be used, maintained, and
operated by persons familiar with it and instructed
in its operation and procedures. Arbitrary altera-
tions to the machine release the manufacturer from
all responsibility for any resulting damages. The
machine may only be used for jobs it has been
designed for and as described in the operating
manual.
• The machine may only be used with original ac-
cessories and original tools made by the manu-
facturer.
• Any other use exceeds authorization. The manu-
facturer is not responsible for any damages result-
ing from unauthorized use. Risk is the sole respon-
sibility of the operator.
• Our warranty will be voided if the equipment is
used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses
or for equivalent purposes.

5. Safety instructions

• Please pass on the safety notes and instructions
to all those who work on the machine. The per-
sonnel charged with operating the machine must
have read the operating instructions before start-
ing work - especially the chapter "Safety instruc-
tions". During work it is too late. This is particularly
true for persons only working occasionally with the
machine, like preparation or maintenance work,
for instance.
• Observe all safety instructions and warnings at-
tached to the machine.
• See to it that safety instructions and warnings at-
tached to the machine are always complete and
perfectly legible. Keep the environmental condi-
tions of the work place in mind.
• Make sure there is sufficient light at the machine
and in its environment. Never work in closed or
poorly ventilated rooms. Always bear in mind that
the running motor emits waste gas that can be in-
visible and odourless. Make sure the machine has
a stable position when working in bad weather, on
uneven ground or on slopes.
• When working with the machine, all safety devices
and guards must be fitted.
• Keep other persons, especially children, away from
the working area. Make sure that third persons
cannot touch the machine.
• Children may not come close to the machine when
it is not in use.
• Always pay utmost attention to what you are doing.
Use your good sense. Do not work with the ma-
chine when you are absent minded. Do not work
with the machine when you are tired, under alco-
hol, drugs, or medicines.
• Operating personal must be at least 18 years of
age. Trainees must be at least 16 years old, but
may only operate the machine under adult super-
vision.
• Persons working with the machine may not be dis-
tracted.
• Store the machine at a safe place, so that nobody
can get injured or get the machine started.
• Use the machine only as authorized.
• Do not use the machine where there is danger of
fire or explosion.
• Wear appropriate clothing that does not hinder you
when working.
• Wear ear protection and goggles when working.
• Wear safety shoes with steel caps and steel soles
with a non-slipping profile.
• Wear solid working gloves.
• The safety devices on the machine must not be
dismantled or put out of action. Conversion, ad-
justing, measuring or cleaning work may only be
executed with the motor shut down.
