6.2 Chlorinator maintenance
6.2.1 Maintenance of the electrolysis cell
In order to ensure optimum performance of the chlorinator, the electrolysis cell must be tested
every 3 months, after cleaning the filter. Follow the steps below:
1. Before removing the electrolysis cell, close the inlet valve and keep off
chlorinator for at least 5-10 minutes.
2. After removing the electrolysis cell, make sure that no sediment remains, and wash it off
with water.
3. If there is lime in the titanium cell, it should be immersed in 4: 1 parts of hydrochloric acid,
and rubbed gently. For safety, wear rubber gloves and eye protection.
4. If there is sediment of a larger nature, contact the dealer.
