Starting the appliance
Remove the packaging materials and make sure all components are present.
Place the appliance on a at and stable surface.
First start-up
Parts washing
Wash the lter holder (G), the single wall lter for cup and cups (D), the double wall lter for cup and
cups (E), the pod lter (F), the tank (B) and the coffee beans container lid (V) in cold water.
How to perform the water hardness test
- Dip the water hardness test strip into cold water for one second.
- Pull out the strip.
- Remove any residual water.
- Wait for about
seconds for the result.
- Select on the display the closest match to your test strip result.
- Remove the water softener lter ( ) from its bo .
- Turn the date disk so as to display the ne t two months of use (Fig. ).

- To activate the water softener lter, let at least

- Remove the water tank from the appliance (Fig. 6).
- Place the water softener lter into its seat located at the bottom of the tank (Fig. ). Press fully.
- Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the MAX level (Fig. ).
- Insert the water tank into its seat (Fig. ). Properly install the tank in its seat for the proper operation of the
appliance.

towards yourself. Only touch the steam/hot water wand on the rubber part.
