Operation
Paper shredder setup
Place the paper shredder on the waste-
paper basket
Plug the mains plug
installed socket (230 V, 50 Hz).
Flip the paper feed cover

Using auto mode
Set the shredder AUTO / OFF / REV
switch to "AUTO". The motor will

start automatically when paper is insert-
ed. The power light

Troubleshooting
Pull the item to be shred from the paper
feeder if jammed. If necessary, set the

switch to the REV position.

Check the items to be shred and – if ne-
cessary – reduce the amount of paper.
Remove paper clips, staples, crumpled
or torn paper (see Fig. C).
Then insert he items to be shred into the
paper feeder
Preventing jams and overloading
The paper shredder features a motor overload
protection. A cycle corresponds to about
5 minutes at a maximum load of 75 sheets.
The device will automatically switch off when:
– Using the device for more than 5 minutes
continuously at maximum load. The
Overheat- / Overload indicator light
will light up red.
– Exceeding the maximum load of 5 sheets

Follow these steps if the device shuts off
automatically:
Set the AUTO / OFF / REV switch
the "OFF" position.
Allow the device to cool down.
Set the AUTO / OFF / REV switch
the "REV" position.
Clear paper debris from the paper feed.
Be careful not to put your fingers in the
paper feed.
Set the AUTO / OFF / REV switch
the "AUTO" position. The device is now
ready for use again.

Cleaning and care

Empty the wastepaper basket
