CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
To ensure optimum performance of your heater over the years, you should
carry out the following maintenance work regularly:
Keep the outer surfaces clean.
Use warm soapy water for cleaning. Do not use any highly flammable
cleaning agents or abrasives.
When cleaning, make sure that you keep the area around the burner and
ignition dry at all times. If the gas control has come into contact with
water, do not attempt to use it under any circumstances as it will need to
be replaced.
The air supply must not be blocked. Keep the regulator, burner and
recirculation ducts clean at all times.
Signs of a blockage can be:
-
Gas smell with extremely yellow flame
-
The device does not reach the desired temperature.
-
The glow of the heater is very uneven.
-
The heater makes cracking noises.
Spiders and insects can nest in the burner or burner openings. This
dangerous condition can damage the heater and affect the safety of use.
Clean the burner openings with a pipe cleaner. Compressed air can help
remove smaller particles.
Carbon deposits can be a fire hazard. If carbon deposits appear, remove
them with warm soapy water.
Note: In an environment with salty air (for example near the sea) corrosion
occurs more quickly than usual. Check the corroded areas regularly and
repair them immediately.
