The heater should be checked by a qualified person before it is put into
operation, and at least once a year. Regular cleaning of the appliance is
essential. It is imperative that the controls, burners and recirculation ducts
are kept clean.
•
Disconnect the gas connections immediately and check the appliance if
any of the following conditions occur:
-
Gas odour in connection with an extreme yellow colouring of the
burner flame;
-
the heater does not reach the desired temperature. An outside
temperature of less than 5 °C can lead to limited heat conduction and
the unit will not function properly.
-
The appliance starts to make loud popping noises during use (a soft
popping noise is normal when the gas connection is disconnected).
•
The gas pressure regulator and the hose line must be attached in such a
way that they cannot become a tripping hazard or accidentally damage the
hose.
•
If guards or other protective devices are removed during maintenance,
they must be replaced before the unit is used again.
•
Children and adults must be warned of the dangers of high surface
temperatures and should be kept away to avoid burns or ignition of
clothing.
•
Small children and pets must be supervised when they are near the
appliance.
•
Do not hang clothes or other easily flammable materials on the appliance
or place them on or near the appliance.
•
Do not place any objects on the unit or lean them against the unit. Certain
materials or objects, if stored under or near the appliance, could be
damaged by the radiating heat.
•
Do not use or store highly flammable materials near the appliance.
•
Do not use spray cans near the unit when it is in operation.
•
Make sure that a minimum distance of 0.9 metres is always maintained
between the appliance and combustible materials.
•
Always place the unit on a stable, level surface. In a well-ventilated area, at
least 25 % of the surface must be open. The surface area is the sum of the
wall surface.
•
Never connect the gas bottle directly to the appliance without a gas
pressure regulator.
•
The unit's injector cannot be removed and it is forbidden to change from
one gas pressure to another.
•
The gas cylinder must be secured with the gas cylinder straps in the
appliance housing during installation.
