9. Storage

• DO NOT put VITO into a cold storage room. Condensation will destroy the electric parts.
• Permissible storage temperature +10°C to +35°C / +50°F to +95°F.

10. Care and servicing

10.1 Important Notes

• Clean the tank (18), the oil level sensor (25) and the filter basket (23) after every change of the particle
filter (26).
• Only clean VITO when the machine is cold.
• DO NOT use abrasive cleaners.
• DO NOT use wire brush or similar.
• DO NOT unscrew the power cord.

10.2 Cleaning preparation

1. Disconnect the power cord (5) from main.
2. Make sure that VITO is cooled down.
3. Open the top-cover (1).
4. Take out the filter basket and dispose the particle filter (26) (see chapter 12.2).
5. Clean the filter basket (23) manual or with dish washer.
6. Clean the rest of the machine manually.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CLEAN VITO CONSIDERING THE HACCP RULES OR YOUR COUNTRY REGULATIONS!

10.3 Manual cleaning

1. Clean the control panel and the switch lever (4) with a damp cloth.
DO NOT use running water. This will harm the electrical system of the machine.
2. Clean the remaining parts with soapy water.
3. Wash the filter basket (23).
4. Dry VITO.

10.4 Cleaning with the dishwasher

1. Only put the filter basket (23) in the dishwasher.
2. Start the cleaning program.
3. Clean the control panel with a damp cloth.
4. Clean the remaining parts with soapy water.
