The battery should be charged at ambient temperatures
between 10°C and 40°C (ideally around 20°C)
After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool
before use
Ensure that the charger is disconnected from the mains
supply after use, and is stored correctly
Do not leave batteries on charge for extended periods and
never store batteries on charge
The charger monitors battery temperature and voltage
while charging. Remove the battery once charging has been
completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery and not
waste power
Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in
the battery can fail, and the battery could short. The
charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another
battery, if possible, to check correct functionality of the
charger and purchase a replacement battery if a faulty
battery is indicated
Do not store Lithium-ion battery packs in a discharged state
long term. This can damage the Lithium-ion cells. For long-
term storage, store batteries in a high charge state
disconnected from the power tool
The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100
charge cycles, the battery's operation time and the
performance will slightly reduce. This decline will continue
until the battery has minimal capacity after 500 charge
cycles. This is normal and not a fault with the battery pack
Fitting accessories
WARNING: Always wear suitable gloves when handling blades or other
sharp accessories.
Open back accessories
Refer to Fig. III
1.
Release the Locking Lever (1)
2.
If necessary, adjust the Locking Flange (14) to allow just
enough room to fit the accessory
3.
Position the accessory on to the Mounting Flange (15), so
that the mounting holes in the accessory engage with the
pins on the Mounting Flange

Tighten the Locking Lever
5.
Before using the tool, check the accessory is securely fitted.
6.
If the accessory is loose in the mount, release the Locking
Lever and tighten the Locking Flange, then re-engage the
Locking Lever
Closed back accessories
Refer to Fig. IV
1.
Release the Locking Lever (1)
2.
Remove the Locking Flange (14)
3.
Position the accessory on to the Mounting Flange (15), so
that the mounting holes in the accessory engage with the
pins on the Mounting Flange
4.
Refit the Locking Flange
5.
Tighten the Locking Lever
6.
Before using the tool, check the accessory is securely fitted
7.
If the accessory is loose in the mount, release the Locking
Lever, tighten the Locking Flange, then re-tighten the
Locking Lever
Note: Offset accessorises must be mounted with the offset pointing away
from the tool (Fig. V).
Note: The accessories can be mounted at various angles but must always
engage with the pins on the Mounting Flange (Fig. VI)
Selecting the right grade of Sanding Sheet
Note: Always use good quality sanding sheets to maximise the quality of the
finished task. Always test the sheet on a scrap piece of material to
determine whether the sanding sheet is suitable for the intended task:
Coarse (60 grit) for use on rough material
Medium (120 grit) for smoothing off
Fine (240 grit) for finishing
Note: DO NOT use Sanding Sheets designed for wet sanding.
Fitting a Sanding Sheet to the Sanding Pad
1.
Remove any dust or debris from the Sanding Pad (11),
before fitting a Sanding Sheet (10)
2.
Select the required Sanding Sheet for your intended task
3.
The Sanding Pad and Sanding Sheet use a hook and loop
system for attachment
4.
Align the dust extraction holes in the Sanding Sheet with
the holes in the Sanding Pad (Fig. VII)
Note: Failure to align the holes on the Sanding Sheet with
the holes on the Sanding Pad will cause dust to build up on
the Sanding Sheet and reduce its service life.
5.
Press the Sanding Sheet onto the Sanding Pad to attach it
Note: The sanding sheets can be applied in 3 different positions. This is
useful if the Sanding Sheet is worn unevenly (e.g. when just the tip is being
used), as the sheet can be removed, rotated and reapplied
Operation

1.
Use the Speed Control Dial (4) to select a speed from 1
(Lowest speed) to 6 (Highest speed)
Note: Adjust tool speed to best suit the work carried out, and to adapt to
material requirements. Also refer to the accessory manufacturer's
instructions, with regards to tool speed selection.
WARNING: Allow the tool to reach the required speed before making
contact with the workpiece.
