Cleanning
To clean the filter in the cold water inlet, please
proceed as described below:
Close the mains cold water inlet valve.
Open a hot water tap to reduce the pressure.
Using a 16-17AF spanner, or an adjustable
spanner, unscrew the cold water inlet assembly
(5) by turning it anti-clockwise. See Fig. 14.
Remove the filtre and clean it. See Fig. 15.
After cleaning it, replace ti by following the
operations in reverse order.
Finally, bleed the air that may have entered the
system. To do that, unscrew the air valve (3)
until water starts to come out. Then, close it. See
Fig. 14.
Maintenance
Must be performed once a year by a qualified
service engineer.
Fault Codes
If the red indicator lamp lights up, it means that
the boiler has "locked out" because of a fault.
Press
for 3 or 5 seconds and the boiler will
attempt to light up again. See Fig. 16.
If the boiler "locks out" again, note down the fault
code number and call your installer or nearest
After-Sales Service.
However, if the fault code numbers are 03, 06,
07, 12, 14, 15 or 17, first check the following:
03:
This means that there is not enough
pressure in the Heating Circuit. Check
the pressure and put it right bu
opening the fill point valve (7) until
reaching 1.5 bar. The boiler will start
up automatically.
06 or 14: This means that the Temperature
Limiter (Overheat Thermostat) in the
heat exchanger has been triggered.
There may be air pocket in the Heating
Circuit. Ensure that the air valve cap
(10) is open. See Fig. 17. Once the
problem has been solved, press the
red button on the Overheat Thermostat
to re-establish the service. If the fault
code were number 14, also press
07 or 15: This means that the Flue Spillage Limit
Thermostat has been triggered due to
a momentary backflow or irregular
outlet of the gases. Press
if you wish
happens again, call your nearest After-
if you wish to
Sales Service. When you press
the code 07 may be displayed. If so,
the boiler will start up automatically
once the "recovery" time has elapsed.
12 or 17: This means that the burners fail to light
up. Check if the gas inlet cocks in the
supply line are open. Please remember
that once they are open, you must

Permanent Monitoring System
if
When the boiler is left on "Stand-by" (Fig. 11),
and regardless of any other conventional
safeties, a permanent protection system will
operate for the following services.
Pump Seizure Protection
It activates the pump for 15 seconds every 6 hours.
Anti-inertia
Following every Heating and/or Domestic Hot
Water cycle, the pump continues to run for a
if you wish
short period of time.
if you wish to
Built Frost Protection
If the temperature of the Heating Circuit drops to
7 °C, the pump is turned ON until it rises to 9 °C.
Built-in Super Frost Protection
If the temperature of the Heating Circuits drops
to 5 °C in extreme weather conditions, the
programme activates not only the pump but also
the ignition system, at minimum output. The
buners will go out affter 30 minutes or when the
temperature rises to 35 °C.
Recommendations
The peel-off film that protects the fascia panel
should be removed.
It is advisable to call a qualified service engineer
for the following operations:
– Boiler start-up.
– Adjustment
– Verification that the air inlets and ventilation of
the premises where the boiler is installed
comply with current regulations.
If the boiler receives no electrical supply, the
Permanent Monitoring System will not be
activated. In this case, to prevent the risk of
freezing in the boiler, it will have to be isolated
and emptied as follows:
Close the Mains Water Inlet Valve (9), the Central
Heating Flow (2) and Return (6) valves. See Fig. 2.
Open a hot water tap.
Open the Domestic Hot Water outlet (3 & 5) and
Heating Circuit Drain (8) Valve.
Actuate the safety valve (1) by turning it a quarter
of a turn.
Removal of gases
Open-chamber and B11BS type boilers are
equipped with a Flue Spillage Limit Thermostat. If
the boiler detects an inadequate evacuation of
flue gases, the gas supply will be shut off an the
corresponding fault code will be displayed. See
section under "Fault Codes".
CE Marked
Roca wall-mounted gas boilers comply with
the European Directive 89/336/EEC on
Electromagnetic Compatibility, European
