Then remove the hexagon screw at the back of the seat sling (Fig. 15).
Place the adapter in the desired position and then re-tighten the screw.
Then pull the rear part of the seat upholstery back and connect it to
the front seat upholstery using the hook and loop fastener (Fig. 16).
Fix the backrest back onto the wheelchair frame. Position the backrest
tube as close to the seat as possible. Then fit the bracket so that the
sideguards click into place properly.
15.
The seat depth can also be adjusted by the position of the backrest.
4.7.2. Seat height
16.
You can adjust the seat height to meet your requirements in just a few
steps.
Drive wheel height
Remove the drive wheel (see Chapter 4.9.1) to make this task easier.
To adjust the height of the drive wheel and thereby raise or lower the
entire wheelchair, you must first remove the drive wheel axle sleeve. You
can undo the fixing nuts (Fig. 17) of the axle sleeve using a spanner.
17.
You can now remove the sleeve and adjust to the required height. Re-
tighten the nuts and fit the drive wheel.
When the drive wheel height is changed, the parking brake must be
adjusted (Chapter 4.10.2).

| Lightweight wheelchair
For safety reasons, if the backrest is set to the back,
then select the largest wheelbase possible or use a
wheelbase extension.

Height of the front wheel
The front wheel can be adjusted to three heights. Undo the hexagon
lock nut (Fig. 18) and pull out the wheel axle. Mount the front wheel at
the required height and re-tighten the lock nut.
In addition the castor bearing bracket can be rotated to achieve even
greater adjustment.
Angle of the steering wheel axle
By changing the height of the drive wheel or front wheel, the angle of
the steering wheel axle may change. However this should always be at
right angles (90°) to the floor (Fig. 19).
First undo the lock by loosening the two Allen screws on the inner side
(Fig. 20). You can then adjust the angle using the two setscrews on the
under side (Fig. 20).
Then re-tighten the two fixing screws on the inner side.
4.7.3. Seat angle
If you tilt the seat surface of the wheelchair to the back, you will
therefore be sitting more stable in the wheelchair. To tilt the seat
backwards, you must fit the quick-release axle in a higher position. If
you want to tilt the seat forwards, fix the quick-release axle in a lower
position.
