Before using the riveting machine and to facilitate the
extraction of self-piercing rivets, it is recommended to
make a mark on the rivet with the center punch tool to
center the extraction matrix.
CONTROLS AND MAINTENANCE
The Self Piercing Riveter 10T does not require any special maintenance. A simple periodic visual check is recom-
mended in order to prevent any breakdown or failure during use.
Clean the Self Piercing Riveter 10T at least once a week in order to eliminate dust and dirt which could alter the func-
tion of the product in the long term. Use auto cleaning cloths. Do not use water, flammable, or corrosive liquids.
During maintenance, the compressed air supply must be disconnected.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The chart below indicates the issues that can be observed during the use of the product. If the problem observed
does not appear in the table below, stop using the product and call (310) 349-1940.
SYMPTOMS
The riveting machine does not work.
The rivet is not in place.
The piston does not go out or goes
out too slowly.
Air, leak.

If during the extraction, the rivet stays in the matrix
hole, remove it before making another extraction.
Stop the progression of the dies's tip as soon as the
removal of the rivet is complete. Bringing the tip to
the absolute end can break the matrix.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Air is not connected.
Air pressure too low.
The air pressure is not adjusted
correctly.
The potentiometer is set at the mini-
mum speed.
Mandrel or matrix faulty
Presence of glue on the mandrel or
inside the matrix.
The pressure is not enough.
Rivet length incorrect.
The discharge lever is still blocked.
Faulty pipe.
Faulty coupling.
Faulty seals.
REMEDIES
Connect the air pressure.
Check air pressure supply.
Adjust air pressure between 2 and
10 bar.
Adjust the speed output.
Replace the mandrel or the matrix.
Clean out the glue
Air pressure is too low or not well-
adjusted.
Follow manufacturer instructions.
Release air with discharge lever.
Change the air line.
Change the coupling.
Repair by the manufacturer.
