A great variety of gases and gaseous mixtures are carried or pumped, and their different natures make it difficult to issue
general instructions that are valid for cleaning operations.
For the blowers to operate smoothly without contact between any surfaces, the pistons and body must be completely free
from oil, dust or residue.
If working under difficult conditions, dust, grease, residues, etc. may accumulate inside the compression chamber. In
these cases the interior of the blower must be washed with an industrial detergent or solvent, depending on the choice of
sediments.
In the case of product build up on the internal surface, these must be carefully cleaned. Use of an appropriate solvent is
allowed. Please check with the solvent manufacturer to ensure suitability with the construction materials of the machine
and for it's correct safe use.
When inspecting the blower, the inlet and discharge pipes must be disconnected.
The oil level windows should be clean. Check them and clean or replace them whenever there is poor visibility.
After cleaning the oil used to lubricate the machine must be changed.
If in doubt it is advisable to consult our technical services and request a visit by one of our experts.
9.3- CLEANING THE FILTERS
The filter cartridges can be re-used several times.
The cartridge can be easily cleaned after removing it.
How to clean it:
1- Knocking it gently.
2- Blowing it with compressed air from inside to outside.
PG Recommends change filter cartridge once a year depending on the environment in which the machine operates.

9.4- FILTER CONTROL

In very dust environments, we recommend the filter condition is monitored using
* Vacuum switch
* Vacuum transmitter.
10- PRESSURE SAFETY VALVE
This valve is designed to protect the blower from overload, and must be located in such a way that there is no closing part
between the blower and the valve. When assembling the pipe connection flange, there should be no tension in the flange
base.
The bell, piston and guide sleeve are made of bronze (in special
cases they may be made of aluminium or stainless steel). It is
advisable to check the valve on starting up the blower and on
installing it. See 6.0, assembly. Adjusting depends on the limits of
the spring mounted in the valve. If the adjustment is made outside
these limits, the spring must be changed. To make the adjustment or
modify the differential pressure, remove the cowl and loosen or
tighten the nuts. The bell guide sleeve does not need to be
lubricated. Control the correct operation from time to time, by
provoking the differential pressure indicated on the characteristics
plaque attached to the valve. In the event of valve seizure,
dismantle and clean. If the valve set pressure is altered from the
original specifications, make a note of this.
