This measuring mode without drilling ensures that the material to be measured is not
damaged.
If you choose this measuring mode, make sure that the protective cover (P) is closed.
Select the corresponding material type using the up (B-Fig. A) or down (D-Fig. A)
arrows to go to the desired material (H-Fig. C). On the back of the device, an indicator
light indicates that the scanning detection mode is activated (F-Fig. B). Then place the
back of the device against the wall to be analysed. The corresponding measurement
will appear on the display. To freeze the value on the screen, press the «HOLD» button
(C-Fig. A). To release the value, press the «HOLD» button (C-Fig. A) again.
When the humidity content is high for the material being measured >17% in wood and
>70% in masonry and drywall, a buzzer will sound.
The moisture gauge (J-Fig. C) also gives an overview of the moisture content.
Moisture content acquisition by sensor (insertion of pins into the material)
This acquisition mode is used to measure the moisture content in:
- wood
- building materials
Press the up or down function change arrows (B-Fig. A) or (D-Fig. A) until you reach the
sensor mode in wood or building materials (L-Fig. C).
Open the protective cover (P-Fig. D) and remove the two pin protection caps (Q-Fig. D).
The pins are very sharp and can cause injury. Handle the instrument with care.
Carefully insert the pins (O-Fig. D) into the wood or building material. Insert the pins
perpendicular to the surface.
If necessary, lock the value using the «HOLD» key (C-Fig. A). Press the button again to
release the value.
When the moisture content is high for the material being measured >17% in wood and
>17% in building materials, an acoustic buzzer sounds.
Ambient temperature measurement
Press the up (B-Fig. A) or down (D-Fig. A) arrows until you reach the temperature
in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). Note: to obtain the ambient temperature, it is not
necessary to open the protective cover (P-Fig. D) or remove the pin protection caps
(Q-Fig. D).
