TORQUE CONTROL
Different screws and materials require different torque to be applied.
The bigger the number corresponding to given position, the bigger the torque (fig. D).
Set the ring (2) to specified torque.
Always start operation with low torque.
ncrease the torque gradually until appropriate value is set.
Use higher settings to unscrew screws.
When drilling choose settings marked with the drill symbol. When this setting is set, the torque is the
greatest.
Knowledge how to choose appropriate settings comes with practise.
Setting the ring in the drilling position deactivates the overload clutch.
WORKING TOOL INSTALLATION
Set the direction selector switch (3) in the middle position.
old the rear ring of the quick release chuck (1) and turn front ring counter-clockwise to open jaws
appropriately and insert drill or driver bit (fig. E).
old the rear ring of the quick release chuck (1), turn front ring clockwise and tighten firmly to install
working tool.
Deinstallation of the tool is similar to installation, only the sequence of actions is reversed.
Check position of the tool when installing drill or driver bit in the chuck. Use additional magnetic
adaptor as an extension when using short driver bits.
LEFT – RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION
Choose direction of spindle rotation with the selector switch (3) (fig. F).
Right rotation – move the switch (3) to the extreme left position.
Left rotation – move the switch (3) to the extreme right position.
* The possibility is reserved that in certain cases position of the switch relating to rotation direction may be different than specified.
Please refer to graphic signs placed on the switch or tool body.
Safe position of the selector switch (3) is the middle position. t prevents accidental starting the power tool.
Drill cannot be started, when the switch is in this position.
Use this position of the switch to change bits.
Check if the position of the selector switch (3) is correct before starting the tool.
Do not change direction of spindle when the spindle is rotating.
CHANGE OF GEAR
Gear switch (7) (fig. H) allows to increase the range of rotational speed.
Gear I: small speed range, big torque
Gear II: wider speed range, small torque.
Set the gear switch in position appropriate for the works to perform. When the switch is blocked and
cannot move, turn the spindle slightly.
Never change the gear switch position when drill driver is operating. It may damage the power tool.
Long lasting drilling at low rotational speed of the spindle may cause motor overheating. Provide
periodic breaks during operation or let the tool operate at maximum speed with no load for
approximately 3 minutes.
