10. Troubleshooting

Following error messages can appear.
Error display Possible causes of errors
"0-Ld"
The maximum capacity of 441 lb (200 kg,
31 st : 7 lb) has been exceeded.
"Err"
The electrical resistance between the conduc-
tors and the soles of the feet is too high (e.g.
in the case of thick calluses or too dry soles).
"Err"
The fat percentage is outside the measurable
range (less than 5 % or greater than 65 %).
"Err"
The water percentage is outside the
measurable range (less than 25 % or greater
than 75 %).
"Err"
The muscle percentage is outside the measur-
able range (age and gender related).
"Lo"
Low Power.
No display.
Scale shows unrealistic results.

11. Cleaning, maintenance and disposal

NOTICE:
• Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations and
heat sources which are too close (e.g. stoves, heating radiators). This may damage the unit. Please see
section 11 "Cleaning, maintenance and disposal" and section 12 "Technical specifications" for details.
• Do not use any aggressive solvents, cleaning agents, detergents or any other strong chemicals to
clean the device.
• Never immerse and or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter the scale
and cause damage.
• Do not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
• Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local
regulations.
• Do not press the buttons with excessive force or with any pointed objects.
• Never attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and impair
the functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service. Please
see warranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and
replace them if necessary.
• Changes or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.

Cleaning and maintaining

To keep your scale in the best condition and protect the unit from damage follow the directions below:
The scale should occasionally be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents and never submerge the scale. The unit is not waterproof. Do not immerse
the unit in water and do not spill water over the unit. If your scale accidentally gets wet immediately clean off
the water.
Store the unit in a safe and dry location. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, extreme hot or cold tempera-
tures or humidity. Thoroughly dry any moisture off the unit before storing. Store the unit safely out of the reach
of children. Do not subject the unit to strong shocks, such as dropping the unit on the floor. Always use the unit
following the instructions provided in this manual.
Correction of errors
Weigh only the maximum permissible
weight.
Repeat the measurement barefoot.
If necessary, remove the calluses from
the soles of your feet.
