Battery
1.
The battery symbol is displayed when the batteries need to be
replaced (battery voltage < ± 5 V). Open the battery
compartment and remove the old batteries.
2.
Insert 1 x 9 V battery. Faulty installation can permanently
damage the device.

Remove the batteries if the device is not to be used for some
time.

Operation
Attach a small strip of tape to the target surface. Press the MEAS to
switch on the tachometer. Select whether to measure the RPMs
(RPM) or the revolutions (REV) with the MODE button. Point the
tachometer at the strip of tape and hold the MEAS button pressed.
The
indicator should appear on the display when you point the
beam at the strip of tape.
7.
Memory Button (MEM)
The last measured RPM value is automatically stored in the memory.
Refer to the illustration on page 3 of this manual.
