Mode of Operation Switch
This model has a mode of operation switch in the roof of the front engineer's cab
(under the pantograph, Figures 1, 2) that can be reached through the doors.
The following functions can be set:
Pos. 0
Locomotive stored without current
Pos. 1
Locomotive motors, sound, and lighting turned on
Pos. 2
Same as Position 1
Pos. 3

The whistle can also be activated with the LGB sound activating magnet (17050)
included with this model. The activating magnet can be clipped between the ties of
most sections of LGB track. The magnet is located offset under the imprinted LGB

the whistle when the locomotive crosses overs this spot.
We recommend programming the CVs 3 and 4 to value 15 in order to use the function
„Squealing Brakes" in DCC operation.
