sharp teeth of the saw blades damaging the ca-
bles on the tool.
Dust/chip suction
Dust from materials such as paints containing
lead, some types of wood, minerals and metal can
be health hazards. Contact with or breathing in
such dust can trigger allergic reactions and/or
breathing problems for the user and other persons
in the vicinity.
Certain dusts such as oak or beech dust are
classed as carcinogenic, especially in combina-
tion with wood treatment additives (chromate,
wood preservatives).
We recommend the use of a dust extraction
device.
Ensure that the workplace is well ventilated.
Comply with the relevant regulations in place in
your country for the materials to be processed.

Do not use accessories made by other manufac-
turers, as these are not tested by KRESS.

6. Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before carrying out any work on the
machine, pull the mains plug.
Keep the power tool and the ventilation slots
clean at all times.
Plastic parts accessible from the outside
should be wiped clean regularly using a cloth
without cleaning agents.
Keep the tool holding fixture clean at all times.
Clean the saw blade holder regularly with a
soft brush or using compressed air. To do
this, remove the saw blade from the power
tool.

Under extreme application conditions, deposits of
electrically conductive dust can build up inside
the power tool when processing metals. This can
impair the protective insulation of the power tool.
In such cases, we recommend the use of a sta-
tionary dust extraction unit, frequent blow-clean-
ing of the ventilation slots and the installation of
an upstream earth leakage circuit breaker.
Replacing brushes
Worn carbon brushes should be replaced by an
authorised customer service organisation.

Environmental Protection

In observance of the European Directive 2002/96/EC
for waste electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law,
electric tools that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to an en-
vironmentally compatible recycling facility.
-NOTE-
After heavy use over a long period,
the machine should be taken to a
Kress service location for inspection
and thorough cleaning.
Recycle raw materials instead of dis-
posing them as waste. The machine,
accessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.
The plastic components are labelled
for categorised recycling.
Only for EC countries.
Do not dispose of electric tools
together with household waste mate-
rial!
