Replacement of the Adhesive base plate
The Adhesive base plate can stay in place as long as it is glued properly
to the skin. To facilitate removal of partially attached Adhesives, the use
of adhesive remover, e.g. Remove™ may be helpful. After Remove™ is
used the skin should always be cleaned with a cleaning towel or soap
and water. Read instructions. Before applying a new Adhesive base
plate, the skin should be carefully cleaned and dried.
CAUTION: When cleaning the skin from residual glue, prevent
particles/fluids from entering the stoma. In case of using OptiDerm
in the postoperative period or sensitive skin, the Adhesive should
only be replaced when completely loose.
