Disconnecting the machine
from the harness

► Press the spring on the snap hook (1) and
remove the perforated strip (2) from the hook

Putting down the machine in an
emergency
WARNING
As soon as it becomes apparent that a danger‐
ous situation is developing, the machine must be
put down quickly. Practice setting down the
machine quickly. In order to avoid damage, when
practicing, do not throw the machine on the
ground.
If using a shoulder strap: practice sliding the
strap off your shoulder and quickly disconnecting
the machine from the snap hook.
If using a full harness: practice quickly opening
the lock plate (4) on the full harness and sliding
the harness off your shoulders.

11 Balancing the Machine

The unit is balanced differently, depending on
the cutting attachment used.
► With the unit suspended from the harness, see
how it is balanced and change attachment
point as necessary:

Mowing heads, grass cutting blades and brush
knives and shredder blades should just touch the
ground.

Circular saw blades should "hover" about 20 cm
above the ground.
