Wheel Bearing Tool for Ford Transit 2006 Onwards
GENERAL INFORMATION
This toolkit is for dismounting the
front wheel bearing unit and the
wheel hub.
The front wheel bearings are
fastened tightly to their outer
housing and cannot be reused once
separated from the output flange as
result of their general design.
This toolkit removes the old bearing
from the wheel hub, thus facilitating a replacement of the bearing without the need to replace the
wheel hub.
Once the outer bearing housing has been removed, the bearing ring must be taken out. This task
requires the use of an additional tool. This is normally done by means of grinding.
SAFETY INFORMATION

Always wear adequate protective clothing such as safety gloves, safety goggles and safety shoes.

Ensure that the vehicle is jacked up safely.
ƒ
Observe the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
COMPONENTS

Holding key for gear puller, used for resistance against the
gear puller

Gear puller, is fastened to the wheel bearing housing using
the 5 nuts and bolts included in the delivery contents.
The internal thread corresponds to the external thread of the
ejector spindle (F) included in the delivery contents

Large support plate protects the bearing and output flange

Small support plate protects the output flange channel

Nuts / bolts / Washer set to connect the wheel bearing
housing to the gear puller (B)

Ejector spindle with large hexagon head.
By tightening downward to the middle section of the gear
puller (B), the central kingpin (F) presses against the output
flange.
Once finished tightening, strike against the outer edge twice
using a copper mallet, then retorque the ejector spindle.
This mallet exerts a blow directly to the component to be
removed, causing even firmly attached components to be
loosened.
