5. Lower exhaust – Remove the two (2) rubber exhaust hangers using
exhaust removal pliers.
Note: Ensure exhaust is supported before removing from hangers.
7. Install passenger side fastener – For passenger side rear fastener, thread
pull wire onto carriage bolt. Insert pull wire through square hole in spacer
block, kink wire as shown in Figure 2. Thread pull wire through access hole
in frame and out through hole in hitch mount bracket, pull bolt and block
into position. Install conical washer over pull wire, use washer to hold bolt
while removing pull wire. While holding bolt, finger tighten ½" hex nut
onto bolt.

6. Install hitch – Raise hitch into position. Ensure factory weldnuts are free
of rust and debris. Install flange bolt with conical washer into front two
holes and drivers side rear hole in mounting brackets, hand tighten bolts.
Note: Use second person or jack to steady hitch while lifting into
position and hold until all bolts are installed.
8. Torque fasteners – Tighten all M12 and ½" fasteners with torque wrench
to 75Lb.-Ft (101 n*m)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secured to the
vehicle when towing.
