1. Installation

1. Do not place the sensor to be connected in direct
sunlight nor in the direct airflow of fans, as this may
influence the measurements. The sensor must be
mounted at a height of +/- 1 meter above the floor.
2. Mount the TechGrow Clima Micro Plus
Temp/Humidity Fan Control on the wall with the
supplied mounting kit.
3. Connect the sensor to the bottom of the Clima
Micro Plus Temp/Humidity Fan Control.
4. Put the plug of the fan into the outlet of the Clima
Micro Plus Temp/Humidity Fan Control.
5. Put the plug of the Clima Micro Plus Temp/Humidity
Fan Control into an electrical outlet.
6. Ready!
2. Operation of the Clima Micro Plus
Temp/Humidity Fan Control
The Clima Micro Plus Temp/Humidity Fan Control
controls the minimum fan speed to reach or keep the
desired temperature and air humidity in your room.
The fan control works on the basis of the set minimum
fan speed, temperature, relative humidity, hysteresis and
the maximum fan speed (100%).
Temperature
Example
If the desired temperature is set to 27 °C and the
hysteresis is set to 2 °C, the temperature can be between
25 °C and 29 °C (27 °C - 2 °C / 27 °C + 2 °C).
If the temperature is below the set temperature minus
hysteresis (in this example, below 25 °C), the fan runs at
the set minimum fan speed.
If the temperature is above the set temperature plus
hysteresis (in this example, above 29 °C), the fan runs at
maximum fan speed (100%).
If the measured temperature is equal to the set
temperature (in this case 27 °C), the fan runs at idle
speed (see section 4.6).
Within the set hysteresis range (+/- 2 °C), the speed is
automatically reduced to the set minimum fan speed or
increased to the maximum fan speed (100%).
Relative humidity (RH)
If the current relative humidity (RH) is higher than the
RH set plus RH hysteresis, the fan speed will
automatically increase to extract more moisture.

Example
If the desired relative humidity is set to 50% and the
hysteresis to 4%, and the current value is 59%, the fan
speed increases.

2.1 Day and night function

The Clima Micro Plus Temp/Humidity Fan Control has a
built-in day and night function to determine which
variable is given priority during control.
In the day mode, the temperature has priority over the
relative humidity. If the temperature is too low during
the day and the RH too high, then the controller will not
start sucking harder, unless the humidity is extremely
high (plus 3x hysteresis). Take this into account when
setting the hysteresis.
During the night mode, the relative humidity has priority
over the temperature value. If the temperature is too
high at night, but the RH is too low, the controller will
not start sucking harder, unless the temperature is
extremely high (plus 2x hysteresis). Take this into
account when setting the hysteresis.
Note:
You can set a time delay for switching between day
and night function (see section 4.5).
It is possible to switch off the light sensor of your
external sensor for a non-stop day mode. Consult
the manual of your sensor for this.

2.2 Display

If a sensor is connected, the clear display shows
alternately: the current room temperature and relative
humidity, associated setpoint and hysteresis, the
minimum and maximum measured values for
temperature and relative humidity, and the current fan
speed.
