Remedy of faults

8.1

Malfunction table

Malfunction
The WLAN connection is not established alt-
hough the network name is displayed in the
WLAN settings.
The FM-Master WLAN is not reacting to com-
mands.
The dimmer is not functioning.
The FM-Master WLAN switches at the wrong
time.
The added OASE device with wireless control
is not reacting to commands.
The added DMX device is not reacting to com-
mands.
Several devices react to the command of the
manual transmitter.
The yellow LED is flashing fast.

Cause
The smartphone/tablet cannot update the entered
connection data for the network.
The WLAN standard set in the router is not com-
patible with the FM-Master WLAN.
WLAN/WiFi on the smartphone/tablet is deac-
tivated.
Sources of interference between the
smartphone/tablet and FM-Master WLAN
Too large a distance between the smartphone/tab-
let and the FM-Master WLAN
The WLAN antenna of the FM-Master WLAN has
become loose or is not connected.
The WLAN antenna on the FM-Master WLAN is
not correctly aligned.
The power supply of the FM-Master WLAN is inter-
rupted.
The receiver in the FM-Master WLAN is defective.
The fine-wire fuse has tripped.
• A non-dimmable device has been connected to
the socket with dimmer function.
• The maximum permissible connected load has
been exceeded.
The system time of the FM-Master WLAN does not
correspond to the actual time.
There is too large a distance between the device
and the FM-Master WLAN for the 433.92-MHz
wireless control.
The data cable is interrupted.
The DMX device is not connected to the power
supply.
Several devices have been taught into one chan-
nel of the FM-Master WLAN.
The FM-Master WLAN is in the firmware update
mode.
Remedy
iOS:
• Select the network and touch .
• Touch "Ignore this network" to remove
the network.
• Then establish a connection with the net-
work again.
Android:
• Select the network and touch "Remove"
to remove the network.
• Then establish a connection with the net-
work again.
The FM-Master WLAN only supports the
WLAN standard 802.11b.
• Activate the WLAN standard 802.11b on
the router (see router operating instruc-
tions).
Activate WLAN/WiFi on the
smartphone/tablet and establish a connec-
tion to the FM-Master WLAN.
• Reduce the distance between the
smartphone/tablet and the FM-Master
WLAN.
• Select a different location for operating by
smartphone/tablet.
• Ensure that there are no obstructions be-
tween the FM-Master WLAN and
smartphone/tablet.
• For a direct WLAN connection (access
point) between the FM-Master WLAN and
smartphone/tablet, select a different
WLAN channel (→ Overview of the "Set-
tings" screen).
• Reduce the distance, do not exceed the
max. range of 80 m.
• Use an off-the-shelf repeater to increase
the range.
Connect the WLAN antenna, tighten and
align in the direction of the smartphone/tab-
let and router.
Align the WLAN antenna in the direction of
the smartphone/tablet and router.
Connect it to the power supply.
• The green LED is lit.
• The green LED flashes when the WLAN
connection is established.
Contact the OASE service.
• Replace the fuse with a new one
(→ Technical data).
• Only connect suitable units to the socket
with dimmer function.
• Adhere to the maximum permissible con-
nected load.
Update the system time to the time on the
operating device. (→ Updating the system
time)
Reduce the distance between the FM-
Master WLAN and the OASE device, do not
exceed the max. range of 80 m.
Check the DMX connections.
Connect it to the power supply.
Remove the device that is not required.
• The instructions for use of the device de-
scribe how to remove the device.
Restart the FM-Master WLAN (disconnect
from the power supply and then reconnect).
Connect your smartphone/tablet to the net-
work „OASE_UPDATE_xxxxxx" and start
the firmware update via the app.
