FOREWORD
Thank you for choosing a universal METRONIC remote. We are confident you will be
fully satisfied with this product. The ZAP2 UNIC model (495399) allows monitoring 2
appliances: The TV set and DTT receiver or satellite receiver. After inserting the 1.5V
AAA batteries (not supplied) in the remote, you can set up the remote for each ap-
pliance that you wish to control. The universal METRONIC remote has been concei-
ved to control most products of each brand. In the set up details below, we use a TV
as example. Press on the DEC key instead of TV key to install your DTT receiver or
satellite receiver. Press then on grey keys to control your TV set and black keys to
control your DTT receiver and satellite.
Automatic Search
1 - Switch on your TV. The automatic search might take a little while (up to 15 minutes).
2 - Press the OK and TV keys together for a few seconds until the light switches on.
When you release the keys the light should stay on.
3 - Press the TV key. The light should start blinking. The automatic search has started.
The light should stay on and blink every time a new code is entered. You should
be ready to press the OK key.
4 - Press on the key « OK » as soon as your TV set turns off then the warning light
turns off.
Note: You should be quick enough not to exceed 1 second before the next code
from your remote control (a bit less than 1 second between turning TV off and
time to press key «OK»).
5 - As your TV is now switched off, switch it on again using the original remote or
with the front keys.
6 - Point the remote towards your TV and try using the main features (changing
channels, adjusting sound...). If the remote does not control the TV properly, try
the automatic set up again (from 2). If the remote controls the TV correctly, then
the set up is over.

Changing batteries

When the remote starts struggling to control the appliances or if it does not work
properly, you should try changing batteries. Thanks to its memory function, you can
change batteries withouht losing your settings on the remote.
