indicates that the battery should be charged as soon as possible. Voltage value over 12.6 V indicates that the battery does not
yet need charging.
Warning! If LCD display does not show any indications after connecting crocodile clamps, this indicates improper connection or
battery voltage is too low.
Checking the alternator
Warning! Checking the alternator should be done with power cord plug disconnected from a mains socket. Connecting the recti-
fier to mains will activate the charging mode.
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
Connect the crocodile clamps to battery terminals the same way as in the case of battery charging. The display will show the
battery voltage value.
Warning! If LCD display does not show any indications after connecting crocodile clamps, this indicates improper connection or
battery voltage is too low.
Press the "RATE/TEST" button as long as the LCD screen shows the marker is next to item described as "ALT"
Start the engine of the car and maintain rotational speed of 2000 rpm for 15 seconds.
Press the "START" button and read indication on LCD screen. The test result and the highest average value of charging voltage
will be seen interchangeably.
If the result can be seen in form of "ok" symbol this indicates, that the highest average value of charging voltage stays within the
range of 13.3 - 15.5 V which indicates that the battery charging system is fully operational..
The 'bAd" symbol indicates that the highest average value of charging voltage is lower than 13.3 V or higher than 15.5 V which
indicates improper operation of battery charging system. Check the connections, condition of cords, alternator and controller.
Checking the starter
Press the "RATE/TEST". as long as the LCD screen shows the marker is next to item described as "STARTER".
Start the engine or try to start the engine, continue starting the engine for few seconds or until it is done.
Check the result of test on LCD display.
The "ok" symbol indicates that the starting voltage is higher than 9.6 V, starting system operates properly.
The 'bAd" symbol indicates that the starting voltage is lower than 9.6 V which indicates improper operation of starting system.
Check the connections, condition of cords and starter.
Error messages
Note! If a screen displays any on the below symbols this indicates improper operation of the rectifier. First, disconnect the rectifier
from power supply and then proceed with the recommended problem solution.
F01: Voltage value is over 16 V for a 12 V battery, or voltage value is over 8 V for a 6 V battery. Battery voltage is too high for the
selected operation mode. Change the operation mode or check the battery rated voltage.
F02: Improper connection of the battery, check the polarity, check the correctness of electric contact and whether the clamps are
not shorted. Battery voltage prior to charging is below 0.5 V which indicates the battery damage.
F03: 10 minutes after full battery charge, voltage value is below 11 V for 12 V battery, or voltage value is below 5.5 V for 6 V bat-
tery. Battery voltage is not adjusted to operation mode, the battery is damaged or sulphur content is too high.
F04: Charging time exceeds 50 hours. This indicates the battery is damaged, loading is connected to battery or charging current
is too low.
F05: Too high temperature of charger which may be associated with too high ambient temperature. In this case change the loca-
tion of charging or provide proper ventilation in place of charging.

DEVICE MAINTENANCE

A device does not require any special maintenance operations. Dirty housing should be cleaned using a soft cloth or a jet of
compressed air of not more than - 0.3 MPa.
Before and after each use, check the condition of cords' clamps. They should be cleaned from any traces of corrosion that would
interfere with flow of electric current. Avoid any contamination of clamps and terminals with battery electrolyte. This accelerates
corrosion process.
A device should be stored in dry and cold place out of reach of unauthorised persons, particularly children. When storing, make
sure that all cables and electric cords are not damaged.
