6 Safety information for the processing of dental investment compounds
Mixing with other liquids or compounds must not be performed since health hazards as well as negative
influences on the quality of the cast objects cannot be excluded.
All dental investment compounds contain proportions of crystalline quartz and/or cristobalite. These
substances can adversely affect health if they are inhaled. Always use a sufficiently powerful extractor or
wear a mask.
"Coarse devesting" after casting is performed under water.
If heated over 200 °C: formation of ammonia. Ammonia imitates the respiratory organs.
6.1 Information for the processing of mixing liquids for dental investment compounds
Following contact with skin:
Upon skin contact, wash with plenty of water.
Following eye contact:
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water keeping eyelid open.
In case of persistent discomfort: Consult an ophthalmologist.
Mixing liquids are alkaline.
