Application
Thermostat mixers are designed for hot water supply via
pressurised storage heater and utilised in this way provide the best
temperature accuracy.
Thermostat mixers cannot be used in conjunction with low-pressure
storage heaters (displacement water heaters).
All thermostats are adjusted in the plant at a flow pressure of 3 bar
on both sides.
Specifications
Minimum flow pressure without
downstream resistances
Minimum flow pressure with downstream resistances
Max. operating pressure
Recommended flow pressure
Test pressure
Max. water temperature at hot water inlet
Recommended max. initial temperature (for energy saving)
Safety stop
Hot water temperature at supply connection at least 2 °C higher
than mixed water temperature
Hot water connection - W - (-H-)
Cold water connection - K - (-C-)
Minimum flow rate
Fit a pressure reducer if static pressures exceeds 5 bar to satisfy
noise level ratings.
Note, see fold-out pages I, II and III.
• Align height of inspection chamber or supporting brackets with
height of bath.
In order to adjust the supporting brackets, loosen screws (A) and
set the supporting brackets to the desired height, see Fig. [1].
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
• Install drain hose (C) for hose box (D); for installation instructions
see enclosed product description 95.502.xxx. Refer to fold-out
page II Fig. [1] and fold-out page III [5].
• Install connector G1/2 according to specified dimensions, see
Figs. [2] and [5].
• With dimensions of 610mm x 150mm, the removable cover
plate (F) is designed for use with 150mm tiles.
Obviously, it can also be used with tiles and plates of any other
dimensions.
This must however be taken into account when designing the
inspection chamber in order to ensure that no problems arise
during tiling.
For description, see final installation.
Preliminary installation
• Installation of frame with supporting brackets, see Fig. [1].
- Fix the frame to the floor using the enclosed plugs (B1) and
screws (B2).
- Attach the drain hose (C) to the hose box (D).
- Remove protective sleeves (E) and cover plate (F), see Fig. [2].
- Attach enclosed hose (J) (long, blue marking) to the cold water
threaded connector, see Fig. [3].
Attach enclosed hose (H) (short, red marking) to the hot water
threaded connector.
Observe correct position of hose outlet elbows.
- Guide hoses upwards through the fitting assembly and connect.
For hose routing, see Fig. [4].
- Locate cover plate (F) and protective sleeves (E), see Fig. [2].
• Installation of frame without supporting brackets (installation
in existing masonry recess or inspection chamber), see fold-out
page III.
- Insert the enclosed plugs (K1) in the masonry, see Fig. [5]; refer
to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
- Remove protective sleeves (E) and cover plate (F), see Fig. [6].
- Attach enclosed hose (J) (long, blue marking) to the cold water
threaded connector.
Attach enclosed hose (H) (short, red marking) to the hot water
threaded connector.
Observe correct position of hose outlet elbows.
- Attach the drain hose (C) to the hose box (D), see Figs. [5]
and [6].
0.5 bar
- Guide hoses upwards through the fitting assembly, insert the
1 bar
fitting and fix to the masonry using the enclosed screws (K2), see
10 bar
Fig. [6].
1 - 5 bar
- Connect hoses.
16 bar
For hose routing, see Fig. [4].
80 °C
- Locate cover plate (F) and protective sleeves (E), see Fig. [6].
60 °C
Flush pipes thoroughly.
38 °C
Check connections for leakage
Note for plumber:
left
Do not carry out any further installation procedures until the bath
right
has been installed or tiling is completed.
5 l/min
Note for tiler:
Prepare cover plate (F), see Figs. [7] and [8].
1. Place tiles on cover plate (F), place drilling template (L) on tiles
and mark the position of apertures and bores, see Fig. [7].
2. Cut apertures and drill bores in tiles, cement tiles to cover
plate (F) and grout joints after cement has set, see Fig. [8].
Final installation,
see fold-out page IV.
• Guide spray hose (M) through the aperture (F1) provided in the
cover plate (F) and secure against sliding back, see Fig. [9].
• Locate cover plate (F) and protective sleeves (E).
Caution:
Proceed as follows if there is a difference in height between the
cover plate and the adjacent tiles:
- Remove cover plate (F) and adjust the six threaded studs (N)
until the cover plate is flush with the adjacent tiles, see Fig. [9].
- Measure dimension Y, see Fig. [10].
If dimension Y is between 31mm and 42mm:
Perform final installation.
Further installation procedures are explained in the final installation
for the headpart.
If dimension Y is less than 31mm or greater than 42mm,
see Fig. [11].
- Remove set screw (O) from outlet stem (P).
- Screw out or screw in the upper part of the outlet stem (P) until
dimension Y is between 31mm and 42mm.
It must be ensured that one of the grooves in the outlet stem (P)
faces forwards, see detail (R).
- Install set screw (O) from outlet stem (P).
- Locate cover plate (F) and protective sleeves (E).
Perform final installation.
Further installation procedures are explained in the final installation
for the headpart.
