compartment (11) on the back of the unit.
2. Insert the Li-ion battery (supplied).
3. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the
screw.
Caution: Use only batteries of the recommended
type because, otherwise, there is risk of explosion.
Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
Note: The parent unit is equipped with a battery
saver function in order to prolong battery life.
When not using the two units, it is recommended
to turn them off in order to save battery.
BATTERY CHARGE
Insert the rechargeable battery according to the
instructions in the previous section.
There are two different methods for recharging the
battery:
1. Connect the power adapter to the mini USB socket
on the side of the unit (16). Use only the adapter
supplied. Plug the adapter into the mains.
2. Using a mini USB-USB cable (not included),
connect your monitor to the USB port of a computer.
If the computer is on, the charging process will start
directly.
Note: remove the battery when you are not going
to use the appliance for a long time.
5.1.2. BABY UNIT POWER SUPPLY
The camera or baby unit of this baby monitor
is designed to be used with the AC/DC adapter
supplied.
1. Locate the connector socket (VIII) on the back of
the baby unit.
2. Connect the adapter cable to the mini USB socket
of the camera. Use only the adapter supplied.
3. Plug the adapter into the mains.
Warning: Choking hazard – Keep the cord out
of the baby's reach. NEVER place a camera with
cables less than 1 meter from the cot. Never use
extension cords with AC adapters. Use only the
AC adapters supplied.
5.2. OPERATION
5.2.1. TURNING THE UNITS ON/OFF
5.2.1.1. MONITOR:
Hold down the power button (6) located at the top of
the monitor to turn it on or off. The ON/link LED (1)
light up or go out depending on whether you turn the
unit on or off.
5.2.1.2. CAMERA:
To turn the camera on or off, hold down the power
button (III) for two seconds. The power LED (IX) will
light up or go out depending on whether you are
turning the unit on or off.
When you have installed and turned on the camera,
you can view the images and hear the sounds picked
up in your baby's room through the monitor.
5.2.2. TOUCHSCREEN LOCK
If you need to lock the touchscreen to prevent any
function being activated when not desired, press the
screen lock button (12) on the side of the monitor.
Press this button again if you wish to reactivate it.
5.2.3. TALKING TO THE BABY
From the parent unit, you can talk to your baby (e.g. to
reassure him/her and let them know you are on your
way) or partner (if he or she is in the baby's room).
Press and hold down the button for talking to the baby
(13) and speak into the monitor. Release the button
when you finish talking to hear the sound from the
baby's room again. Note that you cannot hear your
baby while you are talking to him/her; to hear him/her
you have to release the button.
5.2.4. INFRARED NIGHT VISION (AUTOMATIC)
The infrared night vision function allows the camera to
pick up images of your baby or the monitored area in
dark or low light conditions.
In this mode, only black and white images will be
displayed on the monitor and only objects located less
than 2 meters away can be seen.
The camera constantly monitors the light level and
automatically changes to infrared mode when there is
insufficient light for normal vision.
5.2.5. OUT OF RANGE WARNING
If the monitor is placed at a more than permissible
distance from the camera (see technical features), the
ON/link LED of the camera (IX) and monitor (1) will
flash red and the symbol
left of the screen.
Move the monitor closer to the camera to see the
image correctly.
5.2.6. MAIN MENU (FIGURE A.3)
Press the menu button (5) on your monitor to access
the main menu (I) in order to set the main functions
and features of your baby monitor.
5.2.6.1. PLAY (Figure 1

In this folder you will find the videos organized into
subfolders according to the day and then the time
when they were recorded. Select the folders of the
relevant day and time to view the desired video. You
can scroll through the videos taken on the same day
