6. Press the Rear Arbor Bearing (41) onto the Arbor.
This is a light press fit.
7. Install the Arbor Lock Screw Washer (39) and Arbor
Lock Screw (38). Using a No. R3H–26 Spanner
Wrench inserted into the end of the Arbor to prevent
rotation and using a 5/32" hex wrench for the Arbor
Lock Screw, tighten the Screw between 13 and
15 ft–lb (17.6 and 20.3 Nm) torque. Lubricate the
Gearing and Bearings with approximately 3 cc of
Ingersoll–Rand No. 28 Grease.
8. Install the Stationary Guard onto the Motor Housing.
Make sure when inserting the assembled arbor into
the Motor Housing the Arbor Gear meshes properly
with the spline on the Rotor Shaft (33).
9. Install the Stationary Guard Cap Screws (72) and
tighten them between 13 and 15 ft–lb (17.6 and
20.3 Nm) torque.
10. Attach the Guard Spring (79) to the Stationary Guard
and Swing Guard using the Guard Spring Cotter (68)
and Swing Guard Cotter (76). Operate the Swing
Guard manually several times to see that it swings
quickly into the closed position.
11. Install the Base (63) to the Front Tilt Sector (81) and
Rear Tilt Sector (83) using the Tilt Sector Cap Screws
(82 and 84). Tighten the Screws between 16 and
18 in–lb (1.8 and 1.9 Nm) torque.

through the Base making sure the teeth on the Blade
point in the direction in which the Saw Blade will
rotate (clockwise when facing the blade side of the
tool). Slip the Saw Blade over the Arbor, aligning the
two holes in the Blade with the corresponding holes in
the flange on the Arbor. Locate the Saw Blade Flange
(91) on the Arbor so the pins enter the holes in the
Blade and Arbor Flange. Using a screwdriver inserted
into the 3/8" (9.5 mm) sprag hole of the Saw Blade to
keep the Blade from rotating, install the Saw Blade
Flange Bolt. Tighten the Bolt between 70 and 75 ft–lb
(95.0 and 101.7 Nm) torque.
