3. Intended Use
Always observe the maximum load capacity of the magnet according to FX manual. The load limit
is determined by the carrying capacity of the magnet and the limitation by the workpiece according
to FX determined operating instructions and can signiicantly be below the mechanical maximum
capacity of the HV system.
3.1 General instructions before use
• Before each use, check the contact surfaces of both the magnet and that of the Workpiece. The contact
surfaces must be clean and lat! (Also note the Operating Instructions for FX Lifting magnets)
• Adjust the HV system according to the workpiece size (Figure 4)
• The workpiece must always properly seated against the vertical stop during lifting. (Fig.1) The
displacement force must be collected from the stop. You always must set the magnet centered in the
focus of the workpiece, and tighten on the bearing bolts according to the workpiece geometry
symmetrically. (Fig. 2)
• The workpiece must hang vertically in vertical transport, during the lifting operation so that it can not
slide away from the stop. Depending on the load center of gravity the extension arm (Fig.3) is to adjust
so that the vertical transportation can be ensured.
• ALWAYS SAVE THE DETENT PINS WITH RELATED SPLINT!!!
