11 Disassembly and
replacement
Required tools
• Screwdriver and hexagon socket wrench
Disassembling
CAUTION
Damage to NK350(S) network
coupler if component is
removed under voltage!
Safe function of the
NK350/NK350S network coupler
is no longer ensured.
y Always switch off the power
supply to the relevant system
component before
disassembling the NK350/
NK350S network coupler.
y For reasons of safety, the
NK350/NK350S network
coupler may only be inserted or
removed at the earliest
10 seconds after the power
supply to the BT356 card rack
or SB35x system box has been
switched off.
Proceed as follows to disassemble the
NK350/NK350S network coupler:
1. Switch off the power supply for the
BT356 card rack or SB35x system box
and allow for a discharging time of
10 seconds.
2. If necessary, remove modules from the
card rack or system box to get enough
space to disassemble the network
coupler.

3. Pull the ribbon cable out of the network
coupler and card rack/system box and
loosen the retaining clip.
4. Remove the two fastening screws on the
printed board and the four Sub-D lock
bolts on the front panel.
5. If necessary, assemble a cover behind
the front panel of the network coupler,
order number 3 608 878 056.
