flow on the forehead while taking the
temperature.
• Clean the forehead from sweat,
makeup, etc., and wait a few minutes
before taking a reading.
. Avoid measuring temperature for 30
minutes after physical exercise, bath-
ing or eating.
• When pointed at a hot object, the
probe reads temperature at a dis-
tance. To avoid erroneous readings,
minimise the time from when the
thermometer indicates "READY" to
when it scans the forehead.
• Do not touch the sensor or the sur-
rounding me tallic part with your
fingers. If there are finger print marks,
clean as indicated in "CARE AND
MAINTENANCE"
MEASUREMENT
Press ON/MEM button, you will hear
two beeps and the complete screen
will appear for about two second.
If the auto test is passed the ther-
mometer will display the screen as
the fig.1

and it is ready to take the measure-
ment.
In case of error messages please refer
to page 20.
To take the measurement:
- Always make sure the sensor is clean
without any damage, and the fore-
head is clean.
- Power on: Press the "ON/MEM"
button.
- Mode selection:
FOREHEAD Mode: The present mode
of thermometer is forehead. The ther-
mometer is ready for use after the
"Head" icon stops flashing and two
beeps are sounded.

Note: Forehead temperature converts
the forehead temperature to display
its "Oral equivalent."
The temporal artery is connected to
the heart via the carotid artery. It is
designed to measure the skin surface
over the temporal artery, a major ar-
tery of the head ( Fig.3 ).
Attach the device to the required
measurement location on the fore-
head ( Fig.4 ).
