STOKKE SLEEPI
Read all instructions BEFORE assembly and USE of crib.
KEEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
• Read these instructions carefully and follow them in detail
to ensure that the safety features of the bassinet and crib
are not compromised. Keep these instructions for later use.
Save the Allen key for later use. Re-tighten all screws 2-3
weeks after assembly.
• When assembling the bassinet or crib do not tighten the
screws until the whole unit is assembled. Doing this
ensures you the easiest way to assemble.
• Make sure the bassinet or crib is placed on a level and
stable surface. After assembly, check and tighten all fit-
tings and screws. Loose screw connections or parts
could lead to the baby trapping a body part, or clothing
(e.g. strings, necklaces, ribbons for babies' dummies,
etc.) which would pose a risk of strangulation.
• Make sure there are no loose parts in the bassinet or

BASSINET
• FALL HAZARD – To help prevent falls, do not use this
product when the infant begins to push up on hands and
knees or has reached manufacturer's recommended max-
imum weight, whichever comes first.
• SUFFOCATION HAZARD – Infants can suffocate:
- In gaps between an extra pad and side of the bassinet
- On soft bedding
• NEVER add a mattress, pillow, comforter or padding. Use
ONLY the pad provided by manufacturer.
• If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided by
the bassinet or cradle manufacturer or one specifically de-
signed to fit the dimensions of the bassinet or cradle mattress.
• When a child is able to sit, kneel or to pull itself up, the
cradle/bassinet shall not be used anymore for this child.
• Make sure that the distance from the mattress to the top
of the bassinet is never less than 7.9''. You will have no
problems if the original mattress from STOKKE is used.
• Do not let other children play unsupervised near the
bassinet.
• Make sure the bassinet is locked in a fixed position when
a child is unsupervised in it.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend-
healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.

suffocation or choking. Make sure there are no loose
parts in the crib that could provide a foothold for your
child.
• Never place the bassinet or crib by an open fire or
source of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires,
etc. due to the risk of fire.
• Do not use the bassinet or crib if any parts are dam-
aged or missing.
• Place the bassinet or crib in reasonable distance from
curtains, blinds, heaters and power points.
• To ensure a safe environment for the child, check regu-
larly, before placing the child in the bassinet or crib, that
every component is properly and securely in place.
Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.
Do not use this cradle if the enclosed or attached
instructions cannot be strictly adhered to. Do not use
this cradle if the child is able to climb out unaided. Do
not place cords, straps or similar items that could
become wound around the child's neck in or near this
cradle. The mattress used with this cradle should not be
more than 8cm (3.1'')thick and should be of such length
and width that the gap between the mattress and the
sides of the cradle is not more that 3cm (1.2'') when the
mattress is pushed into one corner of the cradle.
CRIB
• The crib, including side rails, must be fully erected prior to
use.
• Suffocation Hazard – To help prevent suffocation from
entrapment, use only mattress provided by the manufac-
turer. Never use additional mattress or padding.
• Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with
a string around a child's neck such as hood strings or paci-
fier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over crib or attach
strings to toys.
• Discontinue use of crib when child is able to climb out or
reaches the height of 35''.

• DO NOT place crib near window where cords from blinds
or drapes may strangle a child.
• When child is able to pull to standing position, set mat-
tress to lowest adjustment position and remove bumper
pads, large toys, and other object that could serve as step
for climbing out.
• Before each usage or assembly, inspect crib for damaged
hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. DO
NOT use crib if any parts are missing or broken. Ask your
dealer or write to STOKKE for replacement parts and
instructional literature if needed. DO NOT substitute
parts.
• Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as
mattress covers not sold and intended for that purpose.
They can cause suffocation.
• If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children's
products.
• DO NOT use a water mattress with this crib.
• The crib base height can be adjusted at all four basic
heights. Make sure that the distance from the mattress to
the top of the crib is never less than 11.8'' in the highest
position and 19.7'' in the lowest position. This level is
marked at the crib end ( ). You will have no problems if
the original mattress from STOKKE is used.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

STOKKE MATTRESS*)
Ticking: Washable at 60°C (140°F). Stretch while wet.
Do not tumble dry.
Foam: Can be heat treated in 100°C (212°F) and
washed/flushed in boiling water. After a pee accident,
the mattress should always be washed; pee is excel-
lent growth media for fungi.
WOOD: Wipe with a clean damp cloth, wipe off
excess of water. We do not recommend any use of
detergent. Colours may change if they are exposed to
the sun.
NORMAL USE: Always remove the bedlinen in the
morning and let the bed and bedlinen "cool down"
and dry up.

WARNING
• The lowest position of the crib base is always the safest.
As soon as the baby can sit up or pull itself up, the crib
base must be lowered.
• Make sure to keep medication, string, elastic, small toys or
small items such as money out of reach from any position
in the crib
• When your child can climb in and out of the bed by itself,
you can consider removing one side of the bed and adjust
the crib base to the upper position.
Do not use this crib if the enclosed or attached instruc-
tions cannot be strictly adhered to. Do not use this crib
if the child is able to climb out unaided or is taller than
90cm (35''). Do not place cords, straps or similar items
that could become wound around the child's neck in or
near this crib. Ensure that the sides are properly latched
or locked in place when the crib is occupied. The mat-
tress used with this crib should not be more than 15cm
(5.9'') thick and should be of such length and width that
the gap between the mattress and the sides of the crib
is not more than 3cm (1.2'') when the mattress is
pushed into the corner of the crib.
