TEPS OF INSTALLATION
To take full advantage of all the capabilities of this product, we recommend
that you have it installed by a professional.
4.1 M
OUNTING OF THE MAIN UNIT
Its best position is midway between the floor and the ceiling, and close to the
bed. As far as possible choose a location near the electrical board. Do not
enclose the detector in a cabinet or cupboard.
Choose an easily accessible location to facilitate access to the On / Off
switch (Fig. 1-A).
Fix the wall mounting bracket using the 4 wood screws supplied (Fig.
o
3-A)
If the cables need to pass through a wall, drill an 8 to 10mm hole in
o
the centre of the bracket
Check that the central unit fits on its bracket properly
o
4.2 P
OWER SUPPLY TO THE MAIN UNIT
Open the main unit by removing the 4 screws in the back with a
o
Phillips screwdriver (Fig. 2-A)

A Positive (+) supply wire
B
Negative (+) supply wire
Connect the (+) and (-) wires of the power cable supplied to the
o
screws marked "POWER" (Fig. 4) on the terminal block
The other positions on the screw terminal block should remain free
o
Close the main unit and replace the 4 screws (Fig. 2-A)
o
Install the main unit on its bracket
o
The main unit of your gas detector should be fed by the "accessories"
battery of your vehicle.
We recommend that you install a power supply line direct from the battery.
You should never connect the supply of your gas detector to an electrical
circuit managed by the carrier vehicle (front or rear lights, instrument panel
fuse box, etc.) as this could cause a fault on the vehicle.

Before continuing with the installation,
remove the fuse from the fuse holder
Cut the length of cable required. Use 1 to 1.5mm2 cable (18 to
o
16AWG).
Route the cables in your vehicle from the battery to the location of
o
the main unit
Strip the ends of the cables over approximately 5mm using a wire
o
stripper
Connect the cables to the (+) and (-) wires in the main unit supply
o
cable. For optimum contact, the wires should be soldered and the
connection protected by heat-shrinkable sheath (not supplied).
Using crimp terminals (not supplied), you should now connect the
o
power cables to the battery; first the negative terminal (-) then the
positive terminal (+)
Replace the 2A fuse in the fuse holder
o
