General Safety Rules

Warning: When using Pneumatic Tools, always follow all basic safety precautions to reduce the risks of injury or loss
of life, and to prevent other personal injuries.

Work Area

1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
2. Keep children and all other unauthorized persons away from work area, and from tools or air supply.
3. Always operate this tool in a well-ventilated area. Never operate this tool near flammable liquids or gases. The motor
in this tool normally sparks, and sparks might ignite fumes.

Tool Safety

4. Never expose pneumatic tools to rain. Never operate pneumatic tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area fully
lighted for maximum visibility. Never allow water to enter the pneumatic tool, because this will increase the risk of per-
sonal injuries.
5. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures.
6. Don't abuse the air supply. Never carry this tool by the air supply or yank it to disconnect from the receptacle. Keep the
air supply away from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
7. When using the tool outdoors, use only air supply intended and labelled for use outdoors.

Personal Safety

8. Dress properly. Never wear loose clothing or jewellery or other clothing that can be caught in moving parts. Use rubber
gloves and non-skid footwear when working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to prevent long hair from being
caught in moving parts.
9. Always wear safety goggles or other eye protection and a dust mask when using this tool.
10. Don't overreach while operating this tool. Maintain solid footing and balance at all times.
11. Remove the Allen-key after installing the MBX accessory. Always make sure that the Allen-key is removed before you
turn on the tool.
12. Avoid starting the tool unintentionally. Never carry the connected tool while your hand is on the throttle lever. Be sure
the throttle lever is not operated when you connect the tool.
13. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Never operate this or any other tool when you are tired.
Tools use and Care
14. Store tools in a dry, secure place, out of the reach of children and other unauthorized persons, when not in use.
15. Never force this tool to operate at an excessive speed or pressure. The tool will operate effectively and safely only at
the operating rates for which it was designed.
16. Use this tool only with the MBX accessories, and select the appropriate MBX accessory for the job.
17. Always operate the tool with the recommended air pressure. Unstable air pressure may damage the tool or cause injury.
18. Use clamps or a vice to secure the items to be stripped. Always use both hands to operate the tool.
