Place of work
The place of work must be properly illuminated and clean. Disorder and poor illumination may lead to accidents. Do not work with
gas cartridge tools in an explosive environment containing infl ammable liquids, gases or vapours. Do not allow children and third
persons to access the place of work. A lack of concentration may result in a loss of control over the tool. A gas cartridge tool should
not be operated in closed or poorly ventilated spaces.
Safety of work
The gas cartridge must fi t the socket of the tool. It is prohibited to modify the socket or the gas cartridge. All the elements of the
connection must be clean, undamaged and in good technical conditions. The gas cartridge nailing tool may be used solely with the
combustible gas cartridges indicated in the manual. The earthing of the body increases the risk of electric shock. Do not expose
a gas cartridge tool to precipitation or humidity. Water and humidity which get inside the tool increment the risk of damage and
injuries. Make sure the processed object is safely fi xed and it will not move during work.
Personal safety
Commence work in good physical and psychological conditions. Pay attention to what you do. Do not work if you are tired or
under effects of medicines or alcohol. Even a moment's inattention during work may lead to serious injuries. Always use personal
protection means. Always wear goggles. Use of personal protection means, such as dust-masks, protective shoes, helmets
and hearing protections permits to reduce the risk of serious injuries. During work with the tool use protective gloves to protect
hands from both mechanical injuries and the thermal impact of the tool. Avoid accidental activation of the tool. Make sure the
switch is OFF, before you connect the tool to the mains. Holding the tool with a fi nger on the switch or connecting an electric
tool when the switch is ON may lead to serious injuries. Before you turn the electric tool on, remove all the spanners and other
tools, which have been used for adjustments. A spanner left on mobile elements of the tool may lead to serious injuries. Maintain
equilibrium. Maintain the appropriate position. It will permit to control the gas cartridge tool in case of unpredicted situations
during its operation. Use protective clothes. Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothes and gloves away
from the mobile elements of the tool. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair may get caught on moving elements of the tool. Use
dust extractors or dust containers, if the tool is equipped with any. Make sure they are properly connected. Use of dust extractors
permits to reduce the risk of serious injuries. The energy of the compressed gas may imply a serious danger.
Operation of the gas cartridge tool
Do not use the tool for any purpose other than intended. Do not overload the tool. Use a proper tool for the given purpose. Do
not exceed the maximum acceptable working pressure. A correct selection of the tool for the given work will result in a more
effi cient and safer work. Before adjustments, replacement of accessories or storage of the tool, it is required to disconnect the
gas cartridge and the battery, which will permit to avoid accidental activation of the gas cartridge tool. Store the tool away from
children. Do not allow untrained persons to operate the tool. Make sure the tool is properly maintained. Check the tool in order to
detect any unadjusted or loose mobile elements. Make sure no elements of the tool are damaged. In case any damaged elements
of the tool are detected, they must be repaired before the tool is operated. Many accidents are caused by improper maintenance
of tools. Cutting tools must be sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools are easier to control during work. Use the gas
cartridge tool and the accessories in accordance with the instructions above. Use the tool in accordance with its purpose, taking
into account the kind and conditions of work. Application of the tool to any purposes other than the ones it has been designed for
increases the risk of a dangerous situation. Do not keep hands close to the mobile elements of the gas cartridge tool, since it may
lead to injuries. Adopt a proper position during work and be prepared for a rebound of the tool. Use exclusively the equipment
designed for work with gas cartridge tools. Inadequate equipment may lead to serious injuries. In case of a power failure, release
the switch of the tool immediately. In case of a contact of the liquid combustible gas with the skin, there is a risk of injuries. Observe
the recommendations indicated on the gas cartridge.
Caution with the battery
Before you insert the batteries, make sure the switch is „OFF". If the batteries are inserted when the switch is „ON", there is a risk
of accidents. Use solely the charger recommended by the manufacturer. Using a charger designed for a certain type of batteries
to charge another type of batteries may be cause a fi re. Use the tool solely with the battery specifi ed by the manufacturer. Using
other batteries may be a cause of injuries or fi re. While the batteries are not used, they must be stored away from metallic objects
such as clips, coins, nails, screws or other small metallic elements, which might short-circuit the terminals. Short-circuited battery
terminals may lead to burns or a fi re. Under unfavourable conditions there may be a leakage from the battery. Avoid any contact
with the liquid. In case of an accidental contact with the liquid, rinse it with water. In case of contact of the liquid with the eyes,
consult a doctor. The liquid leaking from the battery may be a cause of irritation or burns. During work, when the inserted tool may
come into contact with a hidden live conductor, the tool must be held with insulated grips. During the contact of the inserted tool
with a live conductor, metallic elements may be live, which in turn may be a cause of an electric shock of the tool operator.
Repairs
The tool may be repaired only by authorised service centres, which must use original spare parts. It will guarantee a proper level of
safety of operation of the gas cartridge tool. Do not clean the tool with petrol, solvents or another infl ammable liquid. The vapours
may ignite, causing an explosion of the tool and serious injuries. For the purpose of maintenance of the tool use solely high quality
